Farting on Black People

I’ve often thought of Black History Month as a Valentine’s Day gift to those of us who are single. With the annual media barrage of images of black suffering past and present, Black History Month is a reminder to the unattached that things could always be worse. Unless, I suppose, you’re a companionless black person, in which case it’s probably like salt on an open wound. “Home alone on Valentine’s Day…let’s see what’s on TV. Oh, great…a Southern sheriff siccing his dog on a black man’s balls.”

But this year, Hollywood has gifted black Americans with Black Panther, a big-budget heart-shaped celluloid box of chocolate optimism for blacks who want to spend a few hours escaping reality by watching a movie in which the black heroes are brilliant, brave, responsible, and victorious, and the fictional African kingdom is prosperous, clean, and orderly, and not a soul has AIDS. The black community needs this film right now. Because the future—the real-life future, not the “Marvel Cinematic Universe endless sequels, tie-ins, and reboots” future—is grim.

Yes, black unemployment in the U.S. is at its lowest point in 45 years. Not wanting to risk giving President Trump even one iota of credit, Vox’s P.R. Lockhart (formerly of Mother Jones) called the fact that black unemployment has fallen to 6.8% “ostensibly good news.” Ostensibly. The son of a bitch can’t even bring himself to admit that the record-low unemployment rate is a good thing. No, it’s ostensibly good; maybe good, maybe not. Needless to say, Lockhart doesn’t bother to list a single way in which the figure might not be good….

N.S.: I posted thus response at Taki’s:

Mr. Cole, I’m a big admirer of your work, but this time you whiffed.

The situation of blacks in America is neither tragic nor comical. Their population is not in free fall, and their poverty level is entirely self-inflicted.

And yet, you quote moronic, tenured black supremacists, alive and dead, as if they were not punch lines.

The “story” (really a propaganda rant within his awful book, Faces at the Bottom of the Well), by the late Derek Bell is idiotic, like everything he wrote.

I’ve seen general issue black supremacist Jason Johnson on Tucker Carlson’s show.

Free-fall? When I was a kid in the 1960s, blacks comprised 10% of the country’s residents. Now, they comprise 13.3%.

When I was born, whites comprised 88% of the country. Now they make up 61.3%, and falling. (When I was born, the categories “Hispanic” and “Hispanic white” had yet to be invented.)

I don’t know what class you took in statistics.

The current unemployment stats are, like all such numbers, fakestats, so I pay them no mind.

All over America, blacks can walk into most businesses and public or non-profit agencies, and get jobs for which they are unqualified in every sense. (Ditto for higher ed.) In many of those workplaces, no white men need apply, and that’s the way it’s been for a generation.

Meanwhile, whites continue to be disenfranchised, pauperized, and physically violated in every way by blacks. It’s a slow-motion genocide.

Most blacks spend every day of their lives farting on whites. Ha, ha, ha!

  1. NOT so much the stunt and gag that is done but the reaction of the negro that counts. Extreme violence used for little provocation. If INDEED any provocation.

  2. Africans in America, the eternally aggrieved. Once they write in book form or speak about their racism they have little else to say.
