Robert de Niro: In Case You Didn’t Know How Slap-Your-Head Stupid and Vile the Two-Time Oscar-Winning Actor is, He’s Here to Remind You!

De Niro de imbecile, introducing fellow imbecile Meryl Streep at the National Board of Review Awards yesterday

A couple of years ago, when de Niro was commencement speaker at NYU, he went out of his way to use profanity in his speech. Because it was at NYU, with its pretensions, I wasn’t particularly disturbed, but I was irritated that a public figure would drag any graduation ceremony down to de Dirtbag’s level.

A friend of mine once met with de Niro to pitch a script. (A good script, too.) What a waste of time. De Diva didn’t even listen to him.

An outspoken critic of Trump, De Niro could not help but notice parallels between the story of Streep’s new film, The Post, and our current political reality. “It was fascinating to watch The Post,” De Niro explained. “That story took place nearly 50 years ago, but there are many parallels today, obviously.” He then turned his attention to the president. “This f—ing idiot is the president,” he lamented. “It’s The Emperor’s New Clothes: The guy is a f—ing fool.”

De Niro continued on, calling Trump “our baby-in-chief” and “the jerkoff-in-chief” who “has put the press under siege,” repeatedly tying Trump’s actions to what goes on in The Post. De Niro later said, “The movie gave us glimpses of President Nixon as delusional, narcissistic, petty, vindictive, nasty, and bats–t f—ing crazy.” He then quipped, “Ah, the good old days.”

  1. Robert plays those mafiosi roles and does them good. He is half way there already. A method actor I they are called.
