ORLANDO, Fla. - A father and daughter in Orlando are claiming they were unfairly kicked off a Frontier Airline flight Wednesday.
Whitney Miller, 25, and her father Eric Miller, 70, said the two were having a private conversation expressing their displeasure with the airline after an eight-hour flight delay.
Frontier Airlines said the two passengers were shouting profanities at the flight attendants.
In the cellphone video recorded by another passenger, the family is seen in a confrontation with the flight crew as they are being escorted off. The video does not show the initial contact the Millers had with airline staff members.
Whitney Miller said they didn't know a flight attendant was standing behind them, listening to what they called a quiet and private conversation.
Miller said the two discussed how "miserable" the flight crew seemed and how they never wanted to travel Frontier again.
The family said that's when the flight attendant walked over to the other flight attendants. Moments later, they claim another member of the flight crew approached them aggressively.
"They would lean over the back of the chair in front of us, get their face right up to here and they would simply ask, 'Do we have a problem?'" Eric Miller said.
"It was, 'No, do you have a problem? Do you want to be removed from the aircraft?' We responded, 'No.' We didn't know what was going on, what's happening. Please tell us what's happening," Whitney Miller said.
Frontier Airlines told News 6 that the passengers were heard calling the flight staff profanities. "Our flight attendants are customer service and safety professionals who are trained to recognize situations that may impact comfort and safety of passengers and crew on board our aircraft. The behaviors and comments exhibited by these passengers prior to departure were inappropriate; and as a result they were asked to leave our aircraft. Safety and security of our passengers and crew is our number one priority."
The passenger who recorded the video said she has never met the Millers and they are strangers to her. She said she did not hear them say anything offensive and that the flight attendant was eavesdropping into their private conversation. She also said the clapping in the video was prompted by other passengers supporting what Eric Miller was heard saying to the flight crew while being escorted off, showing support for the family.
The Millers said they are now planning a road trip to visit their ill relative after the negative flight experience and Frontier has refunded their tickets.

Family kicked off Frontier Airlines flight after swearing
A father and daughter say they were unfairly kicked off a flight after the crew overheard them talking about the poor customer service.
Eric Miller, 70, and his daughter Whitney Miller, 25 claimed they were chatting quietly about their bad experience, including a six-hour delay, when they were confronted aggressively by flight crew.
They were booted off the plane just 15 minutes after they had boarded in Florida last Wednesday, they said.
Whitney, a nursing student from Jacksonville, Florida, summarised the incident on Facebook.
The Millers were reportedly heard discussing how “miserable” the flight crew seemed, saying they never wanted to travel Frontier again.
"Our flight attendants are customer service and safety professionals,” Frontier Airlines told News 6.
The airline said the Millers’ behaviour was “inappropriate” and that their “number one priority” is the safety and security of their passengers and crew.
The airline further claimed the Millers had been shouting profanities at the crew, calling an attendant a b---h. [mail link]
However, other passengers said this was not what happened, including the one who filmed a video of the Millers being ejected from the flight.
They said they did not hear anything offensive from the Millers but rather, the crew seemed to be eavesdropping on the conversation.
Eric told the news channel he was shocked when he was removed from the plane, asking staff if they are “going to call police?”.
Whitney added, “What did we do wrong? Why are we getting kicked off the plane?”.
The family’s ticket price was refunded and they now plan to travel by road to visit their sick relative.
Eric said it was his worst flying experience in 70 years.
Blackie's in charge--get off the plane white folks.
ReplyDelete--GRA
I took Frontier once.....worst airline I ever flew. I would rather crawl naked, backwards, in January to my destination than fly said airline.
ReplyDeleteYou white people must really have made the black woman's day. This is a ghetto game/ ruse that blacks use after they assault or harm an innocent victim for no reason except that they hate white people. When they police show up and say why did you hit this person, they lie and say, oh, they called me a nigger. I'm surprised she didn't claim they called her that.
ReplyDeleteTypical ghetto rat maneuver. I hope they were refunded for the 8 hours that they were forced to wait. Why not throw them off the plan BEFORE they had to sit in that for 8 hours?
As soon as I see a majority of blacks at a work site, fast food restaurant, store, you name it, I know that it's not for me. Bizarre things like this will happen. Blacks like to take actions that will be the most surprising and shocking that you would never expect a normal person to do. They will start with verbal threats and verbal attacks and move up to the actual physical attack. As always, the blacks, even though they're the dangerous perpetrators will presents themselves as victims.
