Racist, Black, Ferguson Rioter (from St. Louis) from Notorious Photograph, Edward Crawford, Shoots Himself; Lying, Racist, Post-Dispatch Activist Kim Bell, Writes Hagiography; 27-Year-Old Deserted Four Children

“Edward Crawford returns a tear gas canister fired by police who were trying to disperse protesters [sic] in Ferguson on Aug. 13, 2014. Four days earlier, unarmed [sic] black teenager [sic] Michael Brown was shot to death by police officer Darren Wilson. The killing ignited riots and unrest in the St. Louis area and across the nation.”

N.S.: Lying by omission: the caption editor made it sound as though Officer Wilson murdered Brown, who was neither unarmed or a teenager, by omitting that 1. Brown had just committed a strong-arm robbery; 2. Was blocking the street with his crime partner; 3. Was 6’4,” 292 lbs., which made his body a weapon; and 4. Had his hand on Officer Wilson’s weapon, as he attempted to seize it, in order to murder the white policeman.

(“Teenager” does not mean under 20 years of age.)

UPDATED at 10:45 a.m. with additional detail from medical examiner's office

ST. LOUIS • Edward Crawford, the man featured in a Ferguson protest [sic] photograph throwing a tear gas canister back toward police, was found dead late Thursday night, his father said. Police say it appears the death was from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Crawford's father, Edward Sr., confirmed his son's death to the Post-Dispatch. He said his son's mother called him and they went together to the morgue early Friday to identify their son's body. Crawford Sr. was in tears Friday as he spoke with a reporter.

The medical examiner's office says the death of Edward S. Crawford Jr. was reported as a suicide at 11:46 p.m. Thursday. However, the official cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy. The shooting was in the 1400 block of Salisbury Street, in the city's Hyde Park neighborhood.

Crawford lived in the 7000 block of Dover Court in University City.

According to a police summary, Crawford was in the back seat of a car. Two women were in the car with him. The car was heading east on Salisbury, approaching Blair Avenue near Hyde Park, when the gun went off.

[Guns don’t just “go off.” That’s the way black criminals talk.]

The women told police that Crawford had started talking about how distraught he was over "personal matters." [Like what?] They heard him rummaging for something in the backseat, and the next thing they knew he shot himself in the head.

Crawford's father, 52, said he believes it was an accidental shooting, not intentional. "I don't believe it was a suicide," he said. He said investigators weren't saying much to him yet. "They're being hush-hush," the father said.

The case is being handled by district detectives, not homicide investigators.

Edward Crawford Sr. said he last saw his son two days ago; he was in good spirits, certainly not suicidal.

"He was wonderful, great, always in a good mood," the father said. "He just got a new apartment and was training for a new job."

He said his son was training for a job at a Schnucks warehouse.

The younger Crawford, 27, of University City, was the father of four children. "He loved them to death," Crawford Sr. said.

In 2014, during the Ferguson protests, Crawford grabbed a smoking tear gas cylinder, fired by police at Ferguson protesters, and threw it back. In a photograph taken by Post-Dispatch photographer Robert Cohen, Crawford became an iconic [sic] image of the protests [sic] along West Florissant Avenue. Crawford found instant fame after coming forward as the man in the photograph.

[Not iconic; notorious. “Iconic” means he was godly.]

The incident was part of protests [sic] on Aug. 12-13, 2014, near Chambers Road. The photograph was part of the Post-Dispatch's coverage that won the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography in 2015.

For many, the act bottled up all the anger [sic] directed at police after the shooting of unarmed [sic] black teen [sic] Michael Brown. It represented defiance against police aggression [sic]. He told the Post-Dispatch that throwing the canister wasn’t an act of rebellion, but an instinct.

“I didn’t throw a burning can back at police,” [liar!] Crawford told the newspaper in August 2015, after the county counselor's office cited Crawford under two county ordinances for interfering with a police officer and assault. “I threw it out of the way of children.”

[What a pathetic, racist, liar.]

The case is pending. A court date is set for later this month, County Counselor Peter Krane said.

After learning of his death Friday morning, Missouri Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, D-University City, reflected on social media about what he had meant.

"He is #Ferguson's hero," the senator wrote on her Twitter account. "For those of us tear-gassed, he was our local champion."

[Another racist monster is heard from.]

Chappelle-Nadal said she never met Crawford. But he became a symbol. "For him to throw it back, it was a rebellion [sic] ... to say this is not right. We are gonna stand here and not be invisible."

She said some people, locally and nationally, are living in desperate times with a feeling of hopelessness. She said the death is equally sad regardless of whether it was a suicide or accident.

Christine Byers of the Post-Dispatch staff contributed to this report.

  1. From Ferguson of the future-Grand Rapids:
It's been a week since our last murder.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police say a man was killed and another injured in a shooting on the city’s southwest side.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of Grandville Avenue SW, Sgt. Terry Dixon told 24 Hour News 8.

Neighbors in the area told 24 Hour News 8 they heard at least six shots before a vehicle was seen speeding away on Van Raalte Drive.

Police are currently searching for suspects, but have not released descriptions.

The condition of the man who was injured is unknown at this time.

Around 5:15 p.m., three men were taken into custody for fighting at the scene.
GRA:A mix of black and Mex neighbor"hood",though a couple whites were seen standing among the onlookers.Whenever I drive down that area,I pray my car doesn't get a flat or something.
A hit by blacks on blacks is the initial thought, but not 100% sure. Will give details if necessary.
A hilarious story that I'll summarize quickly is,a Hastings police officer is suing the police department for harassment to the tune of $500,000.Why?This particular white man went to the Ancestry.com site and found out he was 18% black."He told other officers proudly",said WOOD TV,"but the other officers began razzing him, calling him Kunta."
Then,on a Christmas tree, all the officers had little Santas representing each of them. For this officer,a black Santa was put on the tree-by other officers, with 18% written on it...lol.
One,it's his own fault he opened his mouth about it.It was stupid--which,along with the fact that he's going after free money, proves he's black.
Quite a story. They talked about it on the TV newscast, but I couldn't find it on the website to print.

  2. Here's the story.
HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Hastings police sergeant has filed a lawsuit against his chief, two other officers and the Hastings city manager for what he claims are civil rights violations.

Sgt. Cleon Brown, who remains on the force, claims he’s been harassed since he revealed he’s 18 percent black. It all began when an ancestry research site answered a lingering question Brown had about his lineage.

“Cleon, when he found out he was 18 percent African-American, was very proud of it,” said Brown’s Detroit-area attorney, Karie Boylan.

But the lawsuit contends not everyone at the Hastings Police Department shared in Brown’s pride, and it started in the office one day last fall.

Boylan claims Chief Jeff Pratt spotted Brown.

“He saw Cleon standing there and said, ‘Hey Kunta,’ as in Kunta Kinte,” Boylan said. “Cleon’s response, incredulously, was, ‘I can’t believe you just called me that.’”

Additional details in the lawsuit filed by Brown – a 19-year veteran of the force – in early April indicate things went downhill for him from there.

Claims of fist pumps and whispers of Black Lives Matter from fellow officers as they passed Brown in the hallway are on the list of accusations.

The most public evidence appeared on a Christmas tree in the lobby of the police department, where decorations included Santa figurines with the names of each officer. Brown’s Santa was black with 18 percent written on the beard.

“These are law enforcement officers. These are people who are supposed to understand cultural sensitivities,” Boylan said.

The lawsuit names the city, Chief Pratt, Deputy Chief Dale Boulter, Sgt. Kris Miller and Hastings City Manager Jeff Mansfield as defendants. Mansfield says the city is aware of the lawsuit but declined comment.

Boylan said the defendants created a hostile work environment and that Brown has been ostracized and basically frozen out, and believes it’s created dangerous conditions.

“I don’t see that any officer that has been retaliating against him is going to come to Cleon’s aid,” Boylan said.

So if proven true, what should the price tag be for the alleged misconduct?

Boylan said they want the city to provide better racial sensitivity training for officers, but that the lawsuit can only award cash.

In this case, the figure on the lawsuit is in excess of $500,000.
GRA:The guy looks white. The guys were probably kidding with him like they do in sports team locker rooms.I'll keep the story updated if a trial ever takes place.

  3. UPDATE on the newly discovered black police officer (who used to be white),suing for 500gs.
HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) — In response to allegations that a police officer was harassed about his racial makeup, the city of Hastings says the officer in question brought it up and himself made inappropriate jokes about it.

In his lawsuit, Sgt. Cleon Brown claims his bosses and co-workers started harassing him after a test through an ancestry research website revealed he is 18 percent black.

Officer says bosses, co-workers violated his civil rights over lineage
But in a response filed with the court, which was 24 Hour News 8 on Monday, the city said Brown himself would mention it to his co-workers.

“The topic of Brown’s heritage was basically forgotten by the members of the Department until Brown would bring it up again so as to joke about it,” the response from the city reads in part.

The city also claims that some of the jokes Brown made about his own racial makeup were based in stereotypes and inappropriate.
The most public evidence that Brown cited appeared on a Christmas tree in the lobby of the police department, where decorations included Santa figurines bearing the names of each officer. Brown’s Santa was had darker skin tone and “18%” was written on the beard.

The city acknowledged that incident happened and said the officer responsible apologized to Brown. The city said that at the time, Brown indicated to Chief Jeff Pratt that he “was not upset and that he was proud of his African heritage.” Still, the city says the chief instructed all officers that no further joking about Brown’s heritage would be tolerated. The city said that incident was the last of which it was aware.

Brown is suing the city for at least $500,000. He is still on the force.
GRA:Like I said before,if no one thought he was black before, they sure do now--based just on his behavior.Since he discovered he's 18% black,he's lied, sued for phony money and claimed racism when there is none.Lol.

  5. I grew up in University City, and believe me, blacks like this waste of sperm have been making mayhem in the Loop and in the schools for decades. I was there and I know first-hand. He was the father of four? Great. That means there are four more people who will wind up just like him, with or without him.
