ONE BLACK THUG GANG MEMBER ARRESTED,TWO MORE TO GO IN STOMACH SHOOTING IN GRAND RAPIDS. BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Battle Creek police say they have arrested a man wanted in connection to a shooting in Grand Rapids.
According to the Battle Creek Police Department, they were contacted by the FBI to assist in arresting a suspect from Grand Rapids.
Grand Rapids police tell 24 Hour News 8 the suspect was arrested by BCPD’s Gang Unit without incident.
The man was wanted in connection to a shooting on Saturday in the 1600 block of Elizabeth Avenue NW, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department. A 22-year-old woman was shot in the stomach. The victim is said to be recovering and in stable condition.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned in 61st District Court as early as Friday on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.
