I guess her life didn't matter.Neighbors remember 'sweet, hard-working' Raising Cane's manager killed in Kenner robbery
Friloux, a 2013 graduate of Archbishop Chapelle High School, was always smiling, neighbor Craig Gommel said.
"Taylor was a very sweet, sweet-hearted girl. Just super nice," said Gommel, who gave Friloux a lift to school each morning with his daughter, also a Chapelle student.
"It's just unbelievable," he said of Friloux's death.

LaPlace neighbors who knew Taylor Friloux, the 21-year-old shift manager fatally stabbed during an armed robbery at Raising Cane's restaurant in Kenner early Wednesday morning (June 29), described her as a quiet but hard-working woman who had always been dedicated to her education and her career.

Raising Cane's robbery-killing suspect is ex-employee
Joshua Every, 23, of LaPlace, has been arrested
Friloux died of multiple stab wounds suffered during a holdup early Wednesday morning at the Raising Cane's where she worked, 3344 Williams Blvd., Kenner.
Police arrested a former employee, Joshua Every, 23, and booked him with first-degree murder, armed robbery, aggravated burglary and kidnapping, said Lt. Brian McGregor, spokesman for the Kenner Police Department.
Authorities took Every into custody Wednesday morning at his mother's home, in the 100 block of River Oaks Drive, LaPlace.
"My heart goes out to the victim and the family," said Monica Every, Joshua Every's mother. "I want to work with law enforcement to find out what's going on."
Armed with knives
The robbery occurred about 1:25 a.m. Two men wearing gray, hooded sweatshirts approached a pair of employees who had opened a back door at the restaurant to take out trash, Kenner Police Chief Michael Glaser said.
Raising Canes robbery and murder Monica Every, the mother of Joshua Every, talks off camera about her son who is a suspect in the robbery and murder at a Raising Canes in Kenner, Louisiana.
The men ordered the employees back into the business at knifepoint and stole money from the safe before stabbing Friloux multiple times.
She was taken to a local hospital with injuries to her head, neck and chest. She later died of her injuries.
The two men fled the building and left in a waiting vehicle, police said. Kenner police seized a black Mercedes at Monica Every's home. It was towed to police headquarters to be searched.
Investigators believe at least two other suspects participated in the robbery. They are working to identify them, Glaser said.
Sweet girl
A relative at Friloux's home on Wednesday was too distraught to talk. But other neighbors described a friendly woman who had a passion for animals.
"Taylor was always focused on school," said Holly Detillier, 27, who noted Friloux was not one to hang out.
Friloux loved spending time with her family and boyfriend, but was a dedicated worker.
"She was very professional at the job out here," Gommel said, referring to Friloux's time working at the franchise's LaPlace location.
Gommel's daughter was devastated to learn of Friloux's death. He hadn't yet spoken to any relatives but he called her death a shock. Of the robbery and stabbing, Gommel said, "You don't have to go that far."

ReplyDeleteI did my usual experiment to gauge how much national exposure this racist hate crime received. I typed in Marie Friloux in google, yahoo, etc... and noted how many mainstream news sources covered the story. Guess what? Not one major new outlet featured this story. Not the NY Times, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, etc.... not even a mention on Huffington or any of the other internet news aggregators which typically catch just about every news story in the country, no matter how trivial, only some local coverage and a few mentions in offbeat sources turned up.
I did find a Youtube video that received about 7,000 views and posted a comment, I can't wait for the racist blacks and PC whites to start with the racist accusations. Below is a link to another Youtube video from a local news station, note the negro "reporters" with their (phony) looks of concern, as usual when there are racist black perps they go out of their way to put blacks on the screen to downplay any racist motivation.
The killer, Joshua Every, stood over Marie and stabbed her eight times, it was definitely overkill and indicated some inner hostility motivated by (black racism?) something the media doesn't want to explore. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxqwL0Amjy8
I agree...I googled Joshua Every and only got this site.
