Tonight (Monday) at around 11:45 p.m., five police cars sped by my house to a gas station a block away. Haven't seen that many cop cars since blacks had a shootout in the middle of the street I 'm on (about two blocks down), three or so years ago.
I' m assuming it wasn't your standard robbery, but at least an armed robbery. If I find out further details of who and what transpired—if of any interest, I'll add more.
No ambulance, that I saw—I couldn't resist driving by to get a better look. The gas station is hidden from my view by a building. So probably another black thug out around my house again. What's new?
I put my reporter hat on today and went to the gas station I mentioned above.Asked the attendant,"What happened here last night-you guys get robbed?"
ReplyDelete"No",said the middle aged woman,"the police caught a car full of thugs as they parked at the gas pump".
"I saw the 5 cop cars go flying by my house window,"I replied,"then I took a drive to get a closer look-what a scene".
"Yup,they had 'em surrounded--found lots of drugs and guns and rifles in the car",the lady recounted.
"They might have robbed the place...right?If the cops didn't get here in time...I mean why not?They had the weapons to do it,"I surmised.
"You could be right--we're open 24 hours,"she agreed,talking through the bulletproof glass,"we've had a lot of robberies in the past."
I got a couple lottery tickets,paid for the gas and went on my way.
Great police work by GRPD.They must have been watching them and when the thugd stopped at the gas pumps,police moved in within 1 minute.Great to watch.
I texted the report to WOODTV,but never saw a thing about it. (They hate to scare everyone with stories like this--makes GR seem like it has a black crime problem or something.)

These are the Mexican (probable gang members) arrested in the incident.Mugshots available at kent county jailbase.Many weapons charges plus a lot more.Once again,great police work by GRPD.

I did even MORE digging and found out,the charges against both these Mexicans were DROPPED!No idea why.There are charges of weapons carried by a felon--dropped.Maybe NOT so good police work,just surmising the way they were arrested?No idea.I'm stumped.
