“Three Men Shot Friday Night in Baltimore” (WBAL).
“Homicide in North Baltimore” (WBAL).
It's appropriate, nay, even prescient, that Baltimore's old NBA team used to be called the Baltimore Bullets.
N.S.: Keep in mind that Baltimore only has 620,000 official residents. Thus, Friday night’s Baltimore shootings were the equivalent of New York City having 42 men shot on a Friday night.
The above link referred to the Baltimore Bullets of the 40's and 50's. I always think of the Baltimore Bullets as the late 60's and early 70's team, when they had Earl The Pearl Monroe, Gus Johnson, Wes Unseld, and Jack Marin.
ReplyDeleteThe Baltimore Bullets were on ABC's Sunday NBA game of the week a lot in those days. The franchise has been the Washington Wizards for a long time now.
Eventually they ll get to the other 620,000 residents of Baltimore. If my math is right, in 50 years everyone in Baltimore will have been shot.
