Coulter's demented Neo-Connish defense of the Iraq war should not be done in the same column as a critique of our current demented immigration policy. She still is too concerned with the fate of the Republican Party which interferes with her concern for the fate of her country. The Republicans' chief preoccupation is serving their plutocratic donor base, not their voting base.
I think she's pretty much given up on the GOP, though she does have a sentimental attachment to it. However, as you'll see in her new book, she tears the GOP to shreds, including the donor issue.
Personally, I have little passion left for defending the Iraq War, though that is in large part due to Bush's losing the peace.
