In France, Islam Just Killed Satire: Three Moslem Gunmen Invade Offices of Magazine Charlie Hebdo, Slaughtering 12, Including 2 Policemen, Shouting That Mohammed is “Avenged”; New York Times Has No Idea Who Committed Terrorist Act, or Why; French Police Neutered

It sounds like the French police have effectively been pacified. A policeman heads to an office, in response to report of a shooting, but does not arrive with his gun drawn, and permits himself to be shot down like a sitting duck? Other nearby cops do not respond at all? In spite of the Moslem terrorists spending several minutes murdering Frenchmen, they are able to leave at leisure, drive away, and ditch their vehicle, without any cops catching up to or blockading them?

PARIS — Masked gunmen burst into the Paris offices of a French satirical newspaper on Wednesday and killed 12 people, including top journalists and two police officers, before fleeing in a car. The gunmen were still at large at dusk, as an extensive police dragnet spread across a traumatized city.

Among the dead were four prominent cartoonists who have repeatedly lampooned Islamic terrorists and the Prophet Muhammad, leading to speculation that the attack on the newspaper, Charlie Hebdo, was the work of Islamic militants acting alone or in concert with extremist groups.

Latest Updates on the Paris Attack

A police guard assigned to protect the newspaper was among the first victims. A second police officer, who responded to reports of the shooting, was killed on the sidewalk outside the office by the fleeing suspects, the Paris police said. The shooting of the second police officer was captured in a widely-seen video.

President François Hollande immediately declared that the attack was an act of terrorism and an assault on freedom of the press. He ratcheted up France’s nationwide terror alert to its highest level, and met with his cabinet in an emergency session. He said France was already on high alert after several planned terrorist attacks were thwarted in recent weeks.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but several websites and Twitter accounts associated with extremist groups applauded the violence, calling it revenge for the newspaper’s satirical treatment of Islam and its prophet.

Additional security was put in place at houses of worship, news media offices and transportation centers in Paris, and many schools were locked down as the search for the gunmen continued.

The radio station France Info quoted a witness as saying that he saw the attack from a nearby building in the heart of the French capital, not far from the Place des Vosges.

“About half an hour ago, two black-hooded men entered the building with Kalashnikovs,” the witness, Benoît Bringer, told the station. “A few minutes later, we heard lots of shots.” He added that the men were then seen fleeing the building.

Xavier Castaing, a police spokesman, said that three armed, masked men forced their way into the offices, firing indiscriminately at people in the lobby and wounding many. He said that they were carrying AK-47 rifles, and that the attack lasted several minutes before the assailants fled by car.

News reports said the gunmen shot at the police outside the building as they escaped. Several journalists sought safety on the roof of the building during the attack.

In 2011, the Charlie Hebdo office was badly damaged by a firebomb after it published a spoof issue “guest edited” by the Prophet Muhammad to salute the victory of an Islamist party in Tunisian elections. It had announced plans to publish a special issue renamed “Charia Hebdo,” a play on the word in French for Shariah law.

A lawyer for the newspaper said that a number of prominent editors and cartoonists had been killed on Wednesday, including Stéphane Charbonnier, known as Charb, and Jean Cabut, who signs his work Cabu. He said that the cartoonists Georges Wolinski and Bernard Verlhac were also among the victims.

The police said that they had discovered an abandoned car in the 20th Arrondissement, a relatively poor, heavily populated area of Paris. They said they believed it was used by the gunmen.

One journalist at the Charlie Hebdo office, who asked that her name not be used, texted a friend after the shooting: “I’m alive. There is death all around me. Yes, I am there. The jihadists spared me.”

A senior United States counterterrorism official said on Wednesday that the American authorities were following the developments in Paris closely, but that they had not yet identified any individuals or groups who might be responsible for the attack.

The American official noted that, according to social media reports, the attackers did refer to the Prophet Muhammad, saying he was “avenged.”

President Obama issued a statement condemning the attack.

Last month, Prime Minister Manuel Valls ordered hundreds of additional military personnel onto the streets to reinforce a routine deployment of security forces after a string of attacks across France raised alarm about Islamic militancy.

In Dijon and Nantes, a total of 23 people were wounded when men drove vehicles into crowds, with one of the drivers shouting a Muslim rallying cry. The authorities depicted both drivers as mentally unstable.

The attacks stoked concerns that militants were ramping up attacks against French citizens in retaliation for the French government’s support for the United States-led air campaign against Islamic State militants in Syria and Iraq. The attacks came after violence attributed to lone-wolf attackers in London in 2013, in Canada in October, and in Sydney, Australia, last month.

Charlie Hebdo is part of a venerable tradition in France, deploying satire and insolence to take on politicians and the police, bankers and religions of all kinds, including this week a mock debate about whether Jesus existed or not.

The weekly was born in controversy in 1970 with the ban of a publication called Hara-Kiri after it mocked the death of former President Charles de Gaulle. That prompted its journalists to set up a new weekly, Charlie Hebdo, a reference to its reprint of Charlie Brown cartoons from the United States.

The publication, which has a weekly circulation of about 30,000, suffered through periods in the 1980s when it ceased publication. Like other frail journals in the French newspaper industry, it recently issued appeals to its readers for financial aid with a declaration on its site, “Charlie Is in Danger.”

Michael J. Morell, the former deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency and now a consultant to CBS News, said it was unclear whether the gunmen acted on their own or were directed by organized groups.

“This is the worst terrorist attack in Europe since the attacks in London in July of 2005,” Mr. Morell said. “The motive here is absolutely clear: trying to shut down a media organization that lampooned the Prophet Muhammad. So, no doubt in my mind that this is terrorism.”

He added, “What we have to figure out here is the perpetrators and whether they were self-radicalized or whether they were individuals who fought in Syria and Iraq and came back, or whether they were actually directed by ISIS or Al Qaeda.”

  1. They'll bring out an 'official' Muslim, probably on a government payroll, who'll announce that this isn't 'real Islam'. Islamic scholar George Bush lectured us that Islam was 'a religion of peace'. Another scholar, the current president, also stated that what ISIS was doing wasn't authentic Islam; he was telling people calling themselves the 'Islamic Caliphate" what Islam really was. They're all probably thinking about how this story should be spun to the public.

  2. These villains took their time. And leisurely did the killing and the get away too. That one cop lay there wounded, they walked up almost as if strolling and executed him.

And got away clean too. Too much to even think about.

  3. Once you get to know them they are OK.

You just gotta know where they are coming from.

    Just be cool around them.

  4. I see more and more Muslim women and their many children every day. I wonder what the increase in Muslim immigration has been under this Marxist Muslim Mao Mao administration.

  5. There are some who are saying the Paris shooting is a Mossad false flag, and that may be true.

Still, the Mohammedans are waging Jihad in White Europe, Jew false flag or no Jew false flag.

Of those online who say the Paris shooting is a Jew Mossad false flag, they are using the false flag thing as an excuse, a cover-up, of the Mohammedan Jihad in White Europe. They're using the false flag thing as a means to get us to side with the Mohammedans : Yet the Mohammedans are waging Jihad against White Europe.

So if it does turn out the Paris shooting is a Jew Mossad false flag shooting, I still think White Europe needs to expel the Mohammedans out of Europe, for the Mohammedans are waging jihad against White Europe, Jew false flags or no Jew false flags.

  6. Cue some brainwashed (and brain dead) lefty offering to hold hands and ride the bus with Muslims in 3 ... 2 ... 1..

More seriously, what needs to happen of course will not happen. More innocents will die. Many, many, many more.

The solution is politically incorrect. Either of them is non-PC. European (and euro-derived) nations could expel their Muslims. Or Israel could be abandoned in the Middle East and relocated where it would be welcome (ie North Dakota, Manitoba, etc. But neither of those things ever will happen and so instead we will have an eternity of Muslims conducting terrorist actions until they finally lay hands on a nuke and detonate it in Israel. Frankly, it's some small miracle that one of Pakistan's bombs hasn't gone missing only to reappear for a moment in Tel Aviv. Rest assured though it WILL happen. It is as inevitable as the moon orbiting the earth. There are simply too many angry Muslims and they only have to succeed once.

It's a very bleak future to envision. Israel a smoldering sea of melted glass and both Europe and America destroyed just as completely by biological warfare (importing third world barbarians). Yet that is our future. I'd be shocked to find Israel, america, or Europe in existence in year 2100.

  7. Salvatore,

The people blaming the Jews for this attack claim to be pro-white, but actually hate Jews more than they love whites.

  8. Stan,

There is no good reason for moving the Jews of Israel.

    1. That's been their (our) land for thousands of years.

    2. Moving would be a sign of weakness on the Jews' part, and weakness invites attacks (you can't trade land for peace);

    3. The Moslems want to kill all of the world's Jews, no matter where they live. Why? because there are so few of us. If there were a billion Jews in the world, as there are Christians, Moslems wouldn't dream of annihilating us. They dream of forcing conversion on Christians, because there are too many of them to kill, and because Moslems know that white Christian and Marxist leaders (outside of Asia) are weaklings who would submit without a whimper.

    1. Excuse me but not all Christians are weaklings. Christians need an anti defamation league. People are afraid to say anything about Jews, in fear of being sued. One fears for one's life if anything negative is said about Muslims. But its o.k. to constantly insult Christians.

  9. @Nicholas

I understand your objection. I am (or was raised to be anyway) Christian and feel just as much linked as any Jew. My Messiah was born and crucified there as you may recall.

But I've seen first hand the state of Europe's cities where there are no trash cans because the Muslims blow them up, seen potential bombs detonated in the airports by bomb squads as a routine matter, and tire of the endless vigilance and violence. As I wrote, and you don't dispute, it's only a matter of time before the Muslims lay hands on a nuke. And when they do? What then? We cannot even retaliate. Against whom? Saudis? Indonesians? Chechens? Iranians? Syrians? Somalis?

Jewish history, the Talmud even, says that God sent you out of Israel. Sent the Jews to live among the goyim. I didn't see his edict to go back.

But for me this is 100% about pragmatism. We aren't going to fight or convert or intimidate a Billion Muslims. And they hate Jews enough to die for the purpose of killing them. The real solution is BOTH things I listed: expel the Muslims AND relocate Israel. Muslims are incompatible with the West. Muslims are incompatible with both Semitic and Ashkenazi Jews. Fortunately, Christ himself commanded that his followers forgive so Jews are welcome among pious christians.

Someday, maybe, humans will wake the fuck up and get over this idiotic superstition bullshit. Sorry for the profanity, but I feel pretty strongly on this. We KNOW how life is created and it's not some fantastical omnipotent and omniscient old dude lifting the sun every day and moon every night. We can CLONE people which means that WE are gods. Or, more succinctly, human genius is the god. IQ or "g" is the god. And we see this every day with the barbaric evils perpetrated by low IQ cannibal savages. The god we must save is ourselves. I don't want to see four million above average IQ people vaporized in a mushroom cloud by a handful of low IQ barbarians.

The world today is divided into two distinct and non-overlapping groups: those who have developed the means to leave Earth and those who will eat everyone left behind. Jew, Christian, Zaroastrian, Odinist, whatever. I'm talking about particle accelerators, solid fuel rockets, ion beams, lasers, IC's, and very very soon artificial intelligence (likely the very real and very scary God). It's that or cannibalism. And I will always choose the enlightened. Running away from the cannibals when they completely surround you makes perfect sense. Maybe not in the early 20th Century, but today it makes very perfect sense. Put a big ocean between us and the Muslims. Let them eat each other and fight the Hindus and Buddhists (good luck to the Hindus and Buddhists!).
