Teen Fatally Shot Outside Party in Rosemead; 2 Men Sought

Homicide detectives were looking for two people after an 18-year-old man was shot to death outside a party in Rosemead early Saturday, authorities said.

The shooting occurred in the 9700 block of Virginia Street (map) around 1 a.m. after the unidentified victim had asked the two men to leave the party, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department news release.

They returned a short time later with a gun and shot the teen at least once in the torso before fleeing the scene, the release stated.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Investigators described the pair being sought as Hispanic males between the ages of 17 and 21.

No further details were immediately available.

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
