“F—k You! F—k You!” Video of Incompetent Jets Quarterback Geno Smith Cursing Out Fan at End of Yet Another Loss; NJ.com Pathetically Tries to Insinuate That Fan Shouted a Racial Epithet at Smith

Oh, so it’s the fan’s fault, eh? The fan caused Geno Smith to shout obscenities? What could a fan possibly have yelled at Smith to “prompt” him to curse him out twice in public?

We’re dealing with a pc sports writer (if you’ll pardon the redundancy) here. What, in the mind of such a creature, would justify a black athlete publicly cursing out a presumably white fan?

Back in the real world, this is the same Geno Smith who fired his agent, when Smith, who assumed he would be the first pick overall of the entire 2013 draft, fired his agent as punishment for Smith being drafted in the second round.
If this is how Geno Smith handles negativity and adversity, then what is going to happen after his first bad game? How is he going to handle the New York media? We may be in for some Ryan Leaf comparisons before all the leaves have fallen. “Jets QB Geno Smith fires agents because he wasn’t drafted 1st overall,” by John Morgan, Pats Fans, April 30, 2013.]

EAST RUTHERFORD -- Jets quarterback Geno Smith owned up to shouting "[Bleep] you!" at a heckler after Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Lions at MetLife Stadium.

The only known footage of Smith's outburst was captured by a CBS2 camera, and it aired a few minutes ago on WLNY, an independent station that serves as New York City's second CBS affiliate. What you see above is that footage as it aired on WLNY on Sunday night.

Smith, who was booed and who had to hear fans chant for his backup, Michael Vick, opened his postgame press conference by apologizing for what he said to the heckler. He told reporters he had aimed his ire at one fan in particular. What we don't know is what that fan said to prompt Smith to yell back.

Head coach Rex Ryan said afterward that Smith would start the Jets' next game. The 1-3 Jets play next Sunday at the Chargers in San Diego, which is about as far from their jeering home fans as they can possibly play.

  1. He was the bottom rated QB in the NFL last year, despite that the media and fans have treated him with kid gloves, relatively speaking. He hasn't remotely received the savaging his predecessor took, Mark Sanchez, a white guy (he's as white as latino's get that is), his obscenity hasn't received anywhere near the coverage that Johnny Manziel's lifted middle finger incident did. I doubt he has any perspective on it though, he'll be claiming unfair persecution. He might actually have a valid complaint because QB's often get unfairly persecuted, but his race has nothing to do with it, in fact, if anything, his race is getting him less critcism.

He's still young and getting started so it's possible he could improve, the Jets are a terrible team so his poor play isn't completely his fault but he's showing signs of mental weakness and immaturity, always a bad sign for an NFL QB.
