ST. LOUIS | Within an hour, Georgia, then Missouri carried out the nation's first executions since a botched lethal injection in Oklahoma in April raised new concerns about capital punishment.

Neither execution had any noticeable complications. Another execution, the third in a 24-hour span, is scheduled Wednesday evening in Florida.

STARKE, Fla. (AP) — Florida has executed a man who fatally stabbed his wife and her young son in 1985.

It is the third U.S. execution in less than 24 hours since a botched April lethal injection in Oklahoma.

The governor's office says John Ruthell Henry was pronounced dead at 7:43 p.m. Wednesday.

The 63-year-old was convicted and sentenced to death for fatally stabbing his wife, Suzanne Henry.

He also was convicted of fatally stabbing Suzanne Henry's 5-year-old son hours after the woman's murder.

Henry previously had pleaded no contest to second-degree murder for stabbing his common-law wife, Patricia Roddy, in 1976. He served less than eight years and was released in 1983.

The U.S. Supreme Court turned down a last-second appeal by attorneys who argued Henry wasn't mentally stable enough to comprehend his death sentence.

  1. Mr. Henry had murdered once and then murdered again.

In some states that second murder makes you that much more eligible for the death penalty.

    You are an incorrigible.

  2. Repeat the hat trick everyday for a year and you would still have the prisons of this country full of death row inmates. A very sad comment.

  3. The negro chunkhead, I cannot recall his name right now, perhaps Clayton Lockett, with the botched execution for which there was a delay or moratorium on executions had mutilated his veins, in his arms and legs, to make his execution near impossible.

Clearly he hoped to avoid his comeuppance, his date with the grim reaper.

In a poetic form of justice his death was eerily reminiscence of his victims murder death.

The 18 years young white woman, Stephanie Nieman, was beat and shot. She wailed in pain, so the negro shot her again.

She struggle on, she murmured and breathed while the negros accomplice dug her shallow grave. She was rolled in and covered up while still breathing.

Layton, the murdering of a white woman negro, lived on for 40 minutes at his execution, perhaps not unlike his victim.

Barac Obama chose to speak out about this cruelty of the negro murderer of a young white woman, but also chose not to speak out about the cruel, and undeserving murder, by the negro, of the innocent, young white woman.

What is wrong with our country? What is wrong with every free white man's higher culture of civilization on planet Earth?

White liberals, their ideology/illusion and the allies, all the losers of planet Earth, including the poor, lowly negro, that is what's wrong with our white man's higher cultures of civilization.

Time to reconsider our loyalty to our fellow white liberals and their failure to mature or transcend insanity and therefore their cherished ideology of the white man's burden.

A new White Homeland gives all non-liberal, non-apostate whites, the planet Earth over, the chance to live with their, "real", own kind.

Never again forced to deny or sacrifice ours for theirs. Never again to be forced to endure opprobrium for speaking the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the whole truth.

A new White Homeland, for our coming and beloved white posterity.

From the Sanctuary, I'm PDK: Thank you.

  4. In each case, the murders were heinous with so-called aggravating factors. You often hear the standard trope of "execution is more likely when the victim is white."

Well, all of the victims of these three were black.

Henry's lawyer argued that his client shouldn't be executed because of low intelligence. Unfortunately for the lawyer, Henry often wrote "intelligent sounding" letters quoting the constitution. "John, please stop," his lawyer told Henry.

He also said Henry "wanted to live." So much for the argument that death is supposedly preferable to "life without parole."
