Host A.J. Benza, a gossip columnist by trade, wasn't much of a Bill Holden fan, or he would have mentioned the latter's landmark turn in the four-night miniseries The Blue Knight, in 1973.
He also—or rather, his script also—exaggerates the problem of alcoholism. When I was a kid during the 1960s-mid 1970s, half the men I knew were drunks, but they still got up in the morning, and did an honest day’s work. As did Holden. That he died the way he did is very sad, and he was loaded (.22 alcohol content in his blood) at the time of the accident that killed him, but let’s not get all touchy-feely about it. Bill Holden was born and raised and worked in the pre-Oprahfied America. Few of us get to choose how we die. He had one hell of a run.

Yep, that was blue collar, white male America in decades past, back before the factionalization of america via racial integration, identity politics and mass immigration. Back before the corporations emasculated labor and the white working class.
I do miss it so. This nation has been culturally sterilized and domesticated by the corporations. Drinking as a daily habit is now demonized. I don't drink myself anymore. But I would like to.
BTW, regarding the general theme of your blog, vdare, et al., you are mostly right about the pc/multiculti/mass immigration/anti-white cultural regime that dominates america. But there is so much you are ignorant about; there is so much of your own mind that is dominated & influenced by yet another propaganda culture. You couldn't think your way out of a paper bag, ultimately. You know that what has happened to america is wrong. But your ideas about how it happened and how to fix it, if that is even possible, are way base. You aint even in the ballpark. Well, sometimes you do give hints that you are in the ballpark. Just sometimes.
But then again you are just like 99.8% of americans. Who are I to judge? That is one way I can look at it. Maybe the best way. But yet again --time and time again-- I have to come to the same ultimate conclusion--you don't know what the eff is going on. And it is hopeless to try and teach you. It took me years to figure it out. Years of research, thinking, reading. That process molded who I am. How can I mold you and the rest of paleocon/white nationalist movement? Impossible....
