Suspicious person prompts Elmont school lockdown

ELMONT (WABC) -- Reports of a suspicious person on school grounds prompted a lockdown of Elmont Memorial High School on Long Island Tuesday.
Nassau police confirm they received a call for a suspicious man on site and are on scene.
The lockdown was reportedly the school's decision.
The superintendent is also on scene at this time.
Elmont High School is located at 555 Ridge Road in Elmont.
