Selma, AL: No First Amendment for Whites? Racist Blacks Stole Statue of Confederate War Hero Nathan Bedford Forrest, Vow to Do So Again; Should Whites

By Nicholas Stix

It looks like the only thing left for whites to do is to start destroying black monuments and icons.

As Sam Francis pointed out over a decade ago, attacking Confederate symbols was only the beginning. The black “argument” is typically that icons such as the Confederate Battle Flag are obscene, because the Confederacy was based on slavery. But as Francis pointed out, since the original American Republic had slavery, it is only a matter of time until black supremacists use the identical argument they used to demand the taking down of all Confederate flags, to demand the taking down of all American flags. Indeed, they have long used the argument that since the father of our country was a slave owner, all expressions of reverence for him, including naming schools after him, should be reversed.

Ultimately, blacks will demand a new national flag of their choosing.

Of course these are the same people who refuse to show any loyalty to this country, even down to the phony title they have given themselves: “African Americans.”

Protest rages over controversial statue

SELMA, AL (WSFA) -
Renewed protests over a controversial monument. And this time, protestors say they're ready to go to jail.

The protestors are opposed to a bust going up in a Selma cemetery.

It's a bust of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest, who they say was also a violent racist responsible for killing people.

This is the second time supporters have wanted to put up the bust.

The first time, it was stolen.

"I'm ready to march right now. I'm ready to march right now. Ain't nothing wrong with going to jail because we're marching for freedom!" says Charles Steele, Jr. with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference [sic]

[Whose freedom? Certainly not whites.’ Steele thinks he has the right to enslave whites.]

For months now, this statue inside Live Oak cemetery has caused quite the stir among those who support it and those who don't.

"We will complete this monument," says Patricia Godwin, President of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

"The Jews would not tolerate a monument to a Nazi. And neither should we. We're not gonna tolerate it," adds Steele.

Many protesters say General Nathan Bedford Forrest was a domestic terrorist--claiming his Ku Klux Klan involvement makes him responsible for the deaths of many African Americans following the Civil War.

"This individual is the equivalent of Osama Bin Laden," says one protester.

But not everyone agrees the reconstruction of this monument should even be debated.

[As if the SCLC’s Charles Steele, Jr. were open to debate? If he weren’t such a racial narcissist, he’d realize that it is he who is the domestic terrorist. WSFA operative Melissa McKinney is using weasel language, to try to make Steele and his fellow SCLC racists look good, and make Patricia Godwin and UDC look bad.]

"It's an enhancement project. And this has been going on since 1868--enhancing Confederate Memorial Circle," adds Godwin.

She says her group--the United Daughters of the Confederacy own the land where the statue stands.

She and fellow members are simply trying to restore the statue after they say someone stole the bust a while ago.

"We had no other recourse but to start plans to secure the replacement bust that we're going to replace the stolen bust with."

"We are going to stop it. We're gonna use every legal means to stop it. We're gonna use direct action," says Tavis Grant, a protester.

[Tavis Grant just contradicted himself. “Direct action” is a euphemism for committing the crime of stealing or destroying the monument… again.]

Protesters asked the City of Selma to get involved and halt the construction. But because Confederate Circle is privately owned, city officials opted to stay out of the situation.

[As if they had any choice? The white WSFA “reporter” McKinney on this story clearly has no use for the First Amendment.]

The first thing Hank Sanders should do is recognize the diservice he is giving to Alabama. There is a time when one must get their facts correct or keep their mouth shut. Forrest was an unconventional fighter and attempted to keep Northern raiding parties out of MS, TN and AL. He did NOT found the KKK. It was founded by 6 men in Pulaski TN. He had NOTHING to do with the KKK in AL. The first version of the KKK vanished very shortly after the war. There is conflicting evidence to prove that he actually had anything to do with the original KKK. It is suspected that a lot of the claims by the DAR and SOCV are not fatually correct. The research I have done alludes him to hold a leadership position that never existed. I suspect mush of the claims and hatred by Sanders is aimed at another group founded much later, with the same name. Let them put up their statue, Hank. You are a rabble rouser.

Selma could use either of the following mottos for their city: #1: Selma--white bigot history, and black bigot future. Or, #2: Welcome to Selma, the rectum of Alabama.

History cannot be changed, but it appears that society is trying to change history. When that happens, history will once again repeat itself.

It would be nice to see these protesters focus their energy on other issues. (black on black crime, kids being born without fathers, drug infested neighborhoods, the exploding population of African-American males in prison, the putting down of women in rap songs that promote gangs and violence, etc.) Than to worry about some man that died nearly 200 years ago.

It's so nice to see black legislators who are so concerned about their people that they will do anything to remove the single greatest threat to the black community- a STATUE in a CEMETERY on PRIVATE PROPERTY. It's far more important to focus on this statue's removal than to worry about the rate at which young blacks are being incarcerated, the dropout rate, the murder rate among blacks, the high rate of teen pregnancy/unwed motherhood, the unemployment, drugs, etc.

**** in Selma, with their outside group egging them on, apparently decided to make this a political power issue. That's not going to work for them, we whites have tolerated savagery regarding this monument long enough, we will end it. This will not go well for them.

Another thing I've wondered about- if Charles Steele is "marcing for freedom", for whose freedom is he marching?

If we Southerners can't have monuments I know of no reason why anyone should. Or do black people think that their monuments can't be destroyed or vandalized?
