Relative of George Zimmerman: George Stepped Up for Black Homeless Beating Victim Sherman Ware, When the Black Community Ignored Ware, but the Same

Black Community, Including Ware’s Sister, Now Denounces Him as a “Racist”
By Nicholas Stix

My mom always says, "No good deed goes unpunished."

A relative of George Zimmerman’s, who is in hiding, sent me the following letter and the accompanying text of a January, 2011 flyer that follows it, and then gave me a lengthy telephone interview.

The relative reports having sent the letter and the flyer's text to the Baltimore and Washington, DC offices of the NAACP, black churches that have been calling for George Zimmerman’s head, Sherman Ware’s sister, Tonetta Foster, who has been denouncing Zimmerman from megaphones at the hate rallies targeting him, and many media organizations and journalists. The package went out to Pastor Holmes at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Tallahassee, the Allen Chapel AME Church, Eric Degganf, of CNN’s Reliable Sources and the Tampa Bay News, media critic Howard Kurtz at both the Washington Post and the Daily Beast, Megan Kelly at Fox News, The Smoking Gun, Rachel Delinsky of the Sanford Herald, columnist Michelle Malkin, and many other people and organizations. (The family member was away from a computer, and the mailing list.)

Not one of the above-named figures and organizations responded to the package. The only person who even discussed the matter with the family member was the Sanford Herald’s Rachel Delinsky, but the latter never wrote about the letter and the flyer. The only media organizations and figures to respond so far, have been Matt Drudge and The Daily Caller, earlier today.

As I copied and pasted the texts from pdfs, some irregularities carried over. I tried my best to catch them, but surely did not catch them all.

The letter:

March 26, 2012
Turner Clayton
4805 Mount Hope Drive
Baltimore, MD 21215
Mr. Clayton,
Subject: George Zimmerman

Dear Mr Clayton

The events of February 26, 2012 are tragic and the details of which will not be disclosed until the police report is made public. Regardless of this fact, George Zimmerman has been hiding for his life because of the death threats made against him by the black community. He has been found guilty (in the public eye) until proven innocent. He has been called a racist and a bigot and there have been very few that have stood up for him. There has been an unprecedented rush to judge George regardless of the facts.

The black community as a whole has turned their backs and blindly followed the furor stirred up by selfproclaimed leaders of your community. These leaders have rallies and chant horrible things of a person they know nothing about. If justice is what the community wants don’t you think you should wait for the investigators to do their jobs first? Isn’t that justice?

The purpose of this letter of the remind you that things are not always what they seem. Sometimes tragic things happen and there are ALWAYS two sides to every story. As African‐Americans you can surely identify with that. While I am not prepared to get into the details of the investigation because I do not want to make a rush to judgment like the rest of society, I would like to point out some things that many of your followers already know. These people that I refer to have, to date, lacked the moral character and principle to do the right thing even though it may be unpopular.

You will recall the incident of the beating of the black homeless man Sherman Ware on December 4, 2010 by the son of a Sanford police officer. The beating sparked an outrage in the community but there were very few that stepped up to do anything about it. I would presume the inaction was because of the fact that he was homeless not because he was black. Do you know the individual that stepped up when no one else in the black community would? Do you know who spent tireless hours putting flyers on the cars of persons parked in the churches of the black community? Do you know who waited for the church‐goers to get out of church so that he could hand them fliers in an attempt to organize the black community against this horrible miscarriage of justice? Do you know who helped organize the City Hall meeting on January 8th , 2011 at Sanford City Hall?? That person was GEORGE ZIMMERMAN. Ironic isn’t it?

The main point for this letter is to explain to you that the black community has labeled George a racist without any investigation at all. Regardless of the fact that George personally spoke to many of your constituents, not one has stepped forward and said, Hey I know that face. That is the Hispanic guy that was standing up for Sherman Ware. That was the only non‐black face in the meetings for justice in this case. You know as well as I do that there are many NAACP followers that recognize George from the Ware case as well as many other good things that he’s done for the black community. It’s time for you to end the race issue in this matter and call for cooler heads to prevail. If something happens to George as a result of the race furor stirred up by this mischaracterization of George there will be blood on your hands as well as the rest of the racists that have rushed to judgment. You need to call off the dogs. Period. Publicly and swiftly.

You will not be the only recipient of this letter. I am going to scream as loud about this as the NAACP has against “racist” George. There will be a press release with a copy of this letter mailed to the media but I am going to give you a head‐start in doing the right thing. The actions of the NAACP on this will help the world decide whether your organization is in fact racist or if it is for the greater good of society.

I will not be providing my name because all of our family is in hiding and frankly scared by the threats from the black community. If you feel the need to respond I will see this in the media (if you do the right thing) and I will be happy to provide more details showing how wrong you really are. I will not remain anonymous after the outcome of this case is determined. There are going to be a lot of people that need to be held accountable for their rush to judgment.

BTW, I have attached herewith a copy of the flyer that was placed on your constituents cars last year that might jog the memory of your amnesia‐laden supporters.

The Sherman Ware flyer, from January, 2011:

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
- Edmund Burke

We live in an era where, a simple grass roots movement propelled by the discontented constituents of leaders, whom were entrusted with our safety, can and shall make a significant impact.

Chief of Police Tooley blatantly lied. He attempted to appease the masses by stating that he was “blindsided” by the medias release of this monsters attack on an innocent, homeless and peacekeeping bystander.

It has already been revealed that Chief Tooley not only received an email petitioning his attention to the matter on behalf of the Seminole County Sheriffs Office, yet he was also provided with the video taped evidence of the attack and chose to do nothing but pass the buck in hope that the problem would simply go away.

Mr. Hargrett's feeble attempt to patronize the public by stating that Lieutenant Collison's son did not receive any preferential treatment is nothing short of irritating and belittles our intelligence. There are only two possible explanations, either Lieutenant Collison's son received preferential treatment, or Sanford PD always neglects to handcuffs and does not arrest assailants of innocent victims, neither of the two are acceptable, so clearly you are a liar Mr. Hargrett.

I challenge you reading this to stand together and not “simply go away” as Chief Tooley and his corrupt subordinates wish, but to have our voices heard and to hold accountable those whom let this atrocious attack pass unpunished until the media revealed it. This animal could have attacked anyone of us, our children or loved ones in his alcohol fueled rage.

Chief Tooley has already proved his incompetence and willingness to lie to the public and “circle the wagons” in order to protect his corrupt police officers. We must now be heard by his superiors, the Sanford City Mayor Elect, Jeff Triplett, the three continuing members of the City of Sanford City Commission and Commissioner Elect Mark McCarty will be conducting a Workshop and Open Forum on Saturday, January 8, 2011, from 10:00a.m. until approximately 1:00p.m., in the Railroad Depot Room, located on the 2nd Floor of Sanford City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida. Please attend, voice your concern, and demand accountability from all whom participated in this illegal cover-up.

You can also mail the Governor of FL and request that the state investigate this attack at:

Office of Governor
State of Florida The Capitol
400 S. Monroe St.
Tallahassee, FL 32399-0001

Or Call the Governors office at (850) 488-4441

Citizens of Sanford, Read me, Demand accountability and be heard.

Story as Reported by WFTV
Sanford's Police Chief Brian Tooley told WFTV Friday he was blindsided by a video of an officer's son knocking out a homeless man. An e-mail was sent to Tooley by the sheriff's office and included a link to video of the fight.

Tooley then forwarded the e-mail to a top assistant, four days after the fight, but his lieutenant's son, Justin Collison, was still never arrested.

There's a warrant for Collision's arrest, but he's still not in jail. Collison's lawyer told WFTV that it's not for lack of trying. Both his lawyer and another source confirmed that Collison tried to turn himself into the jail Thursday.

However, since Sanford police hadn't put his warrant in the system, the jail turned him away. That was more than 12 hours after the judge signed it, officials said.

Cindy Collison closed her garage door Friday without answering the question so many want to know about her son: When is he going to turn himself in?

Collison is seen in amateur video sucker-punching a homeless man.

Thursday, Chief Tooley said he never saw the troubling video until WFTV aired it. "We did see that on Channel 9. I wish I had seen that tape three weeks earlier. We would've avoided a lot of this angst and anxiety obviously in our community," Tooley said.

However, WFTV learned on Friday that Chief Tooley could have seen the video weeks ago when the e-mail was sent specifically to him, just three days after the fight.

The subject line read, "Justin Collison Crimeline Tip Info" and it included a YouTube link to the video plus Sanford Police Department's case number.

Tooley forwarded the e-mail to a top deputy writing, "Pls have an investigator review this video...handle appropriately."

But apparently, the follow-up he requested never happened, until WFTV got involved.

The Attack happened on December 4th, as of Today, January 2nd the attacker walks free.

You may find a copy of the video on, under the key search term:

Cops Son Caught On Camera Punching Homeless Man

  1. Wow! What a blockbuster story!

A homeless black man, beaten by white policeman's son, caught on video, yet nothing done against the perp, and the only person of conscience who goes to bat for the homeless black victim is George Zimmerman, the same George Zimmerman who is now slimed by the Corrupt Liberal Media as a "racist" for killing a thug in self defense!

    I love it!

So what does the CLM do now? Double down with more MSNBC like lies smearing Zimmerman as a racist?Give Zims activism for a black mans civil rights the news coverage it deserves? Or drop the intense national coverage now that the worm has turned against them and their National Lynch mob is in place.

    Liberalism has killed Journalism.

  2. Only one fool believes this

  3. I would like to see confirmation that everyone received the package.

  4. The more I read about Mr Zimmerman the I can see he gets what he deserves. If I, a blue eyed real white male, were the one who defended myself from Trayvon Martin I have no doubt George Zimmerman would be screaming with the mob for my head. His chickens have come home to roost

  5. If he actually did help this homeless guy who got punched in the head for no reason, how does that equate to him getting what he deserves?

I do hope you don't call yourself a Christian or Catholic or any variety that follow Jesus. Jesus would've helped that homeless man, too. So please remember, you are not a follower of Christ at all. Don't pervert the name of Jesus by saying you follow him.

  6. I see the stinking fucking nazis on both sides are getting in the act, the Hitler jugens and the jigabooz baboons...hope they kill a lot of each others...GOD RIDDANCE OF BAD RUBBISH!!!

  7. George Zimmerman is a good man. He was raised right and is a good husband and son. The world has jumped so quickly to conclusions that they have not taken the time to examine the facts. This is nothing racist at all. I actually know George through friends and he is friends with so many different and unique people. He is a loving and kind man who had an actual reason to defend himself with a fire arm. What would you do? I don't want to hear the bullshit " oh, If I wear a hoodie will I get shot?". He was obviously a threat to Zimmerman and he did what he thought was the best idea at the time. He may have taken it a little far, but he did not mean to kill trayvon. The man that some of us actually know would never hurt someone on purpose. There was a legit reason this went down

  8. A ''GOOD'' man and ''RESPONSIBLE'', CARING ADULT would have diffused the situation by SIMPLY driving by the young man and going to TARGET TO RUN AN ERRAND LIKE HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN !!!! Not watching him and getting out of the car to find the street address of where he was at as GZ said ... I HAVE a rather hard time beleiving that GZ didn't know the name of the steet he was living on after have been living at retreat view for three years there are only 3 streets in that community sounds fishy to me !!!! ... He shot the wrong KID ... A KID that actually wasn't commiting a crime !!!! A kid who had the right to be where he was !!!!! He couldnt confront and shoot the other young men that allegedly where doing break-ins at Retreat View homes so he took it out on young TRAYVON MARTIN ... ALL THE REASON NOT TO HAVE GOTTEN OUT OF HIS CAR !!!! And I DO BELEIVE TRAYVON WAS IN FEAR OF HIS LIFE TOOO DAMMITT !!!! ANYONE WOULD HAVE FELT THE SAME IF THEY WHERE IN TRAYVON'S SHOES !!! SO GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE AND BELEIVE THAT MAYBE, JUST MAYBE TRAYVON WAS SCARED TOO !!!!! IF IT WHERE YOUR SON YOU WHOULD HAVE WENT TO THE EXTENT THAT THE MARTIN'S DID TOO !!!!!

  9. I beleive justice has been served. If Trayvon was so scared, He should have called 911 himself. Instead he was on the phone with his lady friend. If if felt I was in danger I would have call for help. Sad situation but if my head was being pounded on the concrete. I would use what ever force necessary to defend myself. People need to leave it alone let justice prevail. This should not be about race, It should be about protecting one self. Unfortunately society has let the young children get away with too much. Now that they are out of control and there actions cause responses that we are not satisfied with. We want to blame it on race. No person reading this would let someone attack them without defending themself. My prayers are with George Zimmermnan. He did what he thought was necessary to save his own life. Just maybe if Trayvon parent had more control of their son, None of this would have happened. Sad to say Trayvon was already on the wrong road. If it had not been George, It would have been someone else. Maybe even a black person that took him out defending himself. Under that speculation, If so this would have been a totally different situation. There would never have been a case and all this anger for no reason.
