Theodore Lavitt, Vanessa Coleman's attorney, said she should get bail, because she was “just visiting and got caught up in this,” and had no prior record. Prosecutor Takeesha Fitzgerald asked for a million dollar bail, and the judge agreed.
If her family (or some helpers) can raise $1 million, Coleman will be out on bail.
P.S. Lavitt said while requesting bail that Coleman “comes from a good family.”

N.S. They may only have to raise $100,000 for a bail bond, which her monstrous father could probably raise by putting up his house as collateral.
Hey, George Thomas and Letalvis Cobbins were also “just visiting and got caught up in this.”
If you ask me, a million dollars is not enough. Vanessa Coleman was convicted for 13 out of 17 counts of murder, and her initial trial cost taxpayers at least $300,000, not including her retrial in November 2012, which cost taxpayers another $55,000. She knows what she did, and now the whole world knows it, and it’s only fair that she face the consequences of her actions.

I’ve read all about the case and it was disturbing, to say the least; “unimaginable” isn’t even appropriate. As of February 1, she has been sentenced to 35 consecutive years in prison for her role in the 2007 murder. Sterling was right when she said that a million dollars wasn’t enough. The gravity of her crimes goes way beyond a life sentence.
