Chicago police have released surveillance photos and video of two men wanted in the fatal shooting of the part-owner of a gas station in the Bronzeville neighborhood last month.

The video shows the men entering the BP gas station at 43rd and State streets about 1:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, police said. They then force the part-owner and another worker to the floor at gunpoint while cleaning out the cash drawers. The video does not show the shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the part-owner, Jojo James, 31, with two gunshot wounds, officials said.

James, of Des Plaines, was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

James had been part-owner of the gas station about five years and was the father of a 6-month-old infant. His wife is expecting another child, according to a family member who asked that his name not be used.

The BP company, James' family and Chicago Crime Stoppers are offering a combined $6,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest of the gunmen, the relative said.

The robbers, who were described as black men between 20 and 35, were wearing dark clothing, hooded sweatshirts and were armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

Anyone with information should contact the Wentworth Area detectives at (312) 747-8380.
