“Bush lied, people died!” For eight years, brain-dead Democrats have assaulted civilized people’s eardrums with this mindless chant.
I knew it was a lie from the get-go, because I had written extensively on the debate prior to the war, when I defended attacking Iraq. Due to that work, I never forget that in the run-up to the war, President Bill Clinton and chief U.N. weapons inspector Hans Blix both insisted that, among other chemical and biological weapons, Iraq had thousands of gallons of liquid anthrax.
By the way, I am still not at all convinced that the WMDs did not exist. After all, another of leftists’ favorite slogans is, “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.” Note, as well, that over 50 years after the end of The War, Filipinos were still finding caches of weapons that the Japanese had left behind.
There are so many legitimate grounds for criticizing President George W. Bush that there is no need to lie. Perhaps Leftists lie anyway, just to keep in practice.

I thank the friend who sent this. When we recently saw each other, we discussed the matter, and he mentioned this video.
