Knoxville Horror killer Letalvis Cobbins claimed today that jailers beat him up Sunday. This is not new for Cobbins. He complained at his sentencing hearing last year of being abused by guards and to fear for his personal safety.

Cobbins used the same phrase of “putting it on the record,” the previous time.

Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood is delaying a ruling on Cobbins’ motion for a new trial to give him time to look through law enforcement files on the probe of Judge Richard Baumgartner, who presided over the trial. Baumgartner was forced to resign from the bench after admitting to buying hundreds of painkillers. He pleaded guilty to official misconduct.

N.S.: It is Cobbins, as I noted in my second linked article below, who has a history of assaulting guards.

And as for Judge Baumgartner, it was the judge who rigged the verdict via stacking the jury with Davidson County blacks, in order to save Cobbins from the death penalty. So much for gratitude. As my mom always says, “No good deed goes unpunished.”

Previously, amid 100 or so dispatches on this case:

“The Knoxville Horror; The crime and the media blackout”; and

“In First Knoxville Horror Murder Trial, Racist Black Jurors and Devious White Judge Spare Letalvis Cobbins.”
