Opposition to Death Penalty

The Knoxville Horror
David in Tennessee’s Vanessa Coleman Trial Journal, Part VI

Most of the prospective jurors seem to be against the death penalty. Those that appear willing to impose a death sentence are knocked off the prospective panel. Get a load of the blubbering young white man in the video who feels sorry for Coleman because he is the same age. “She smiled at me,” he wails. He never considers that Coleman was smiling when Coleman’s friends tortured another young man to death.

At 12:06 a.m., I wrote back to David,

Thanks so much for the material on the Coleman trial so far. I predicted that this would be the toughest one. She’s getting so many AA bonus points that if she does any time at all, it’s a moral victory.

Given that he has already done this once before, and thus that the case has gotten plenty of publicity in Davidson County, Judge Baumgartner's rationale for selecting a Davidson County jury is getting shakier by the day.

In the first video, the white guy who bragged that Coleman had “smiled at me,” and who then broke down in tears over the fact that she was the same age as him is emblematic of so much that is wrong with this country. He showed no concern for the victims, and his hysterical concern for a racist monster makes him one of the “Eloi” about whom Lawrence Auster speaks (taking from H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine), a human race that exists to be eaten by the other race, the “Morlocks”).

In the second video, the anchor lady spoke of “the other three suspects.” But people aren't suspects, after they’ve been convicted; they’re convicts. Her dishonest restraint reminds me of racist blacks, who will lie and call convicted black criminals “alleged” criminals.

A mere ten minutes later, David responded,

This article, “Coleman's jury pool composed of mostly women,” will be in Friday's Knoxville paper. Not much chance of a DP sentence, is there? By the way, I'm driving to Knoxville on Sunday and I am going to try to see at least one day of the trial.
