New York News Anchor Ernie Anastos: Did He or Didn't He?
By Nicholas Stix
Various Web outlets have charged New York Fox 5 News anchor Ernie Anastos with having used a four-letter word during the September 16, 10 p.m. broadcast. Watch the Youtube video excerpt below, and let me know: What do you think?
Listen closely at :04/:05. The goofy white anchorman references the old Frank Purdue (chicken producer) joke: "It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken." He then ad libbed a followup line: "Keep f***ing that chicken." The black anchor woman's eyes show her reaction (wide eyes) that she heard him say it! Shades of Ron Burgundy from the motion picture "Anchorman".
