“grand rapids, mich. (wood) — a girl was killed in a shooting in grand rapids saturday night.
“around 11:40 p.m., officers with the grand rapids police department were sent to the area of Ottawa avenue sw near Oakes street sw for a shooting.
“responding officers found a girl who died at the scene, grpd said. her name and age has [sic] not been released.
“the investigation continues.”
GRA: How many girls are walking around the sleazy area of downtown grand rapids at midnight? Reporter, Moore, was not given an age of the vic, but wrote “girl” to describe her.
Strange.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A girl was killed in a shooting in Grand Rapids Saturday night.
Around 11:40 p.m., officers with the Grand Rapids Police Department responded to a shooting in the area of Ottawa Avenue SW near Oakes Street SW, which is south of Van Andel Arena near Studio Park.
Responding officers found a girl who died at the scene, GRPD said. The victim’s family identified her as 15-year-old La-kyijah Williams. No suspect information has been released.
