From looking at the video and reading the article:

Someone called the cops because they saw this guy conceal a gun and enter the store – the video starts with a cop confronting the guy as he is leaving the store (note: to this point, there is no indication he robbed the store or committed any crime; a caller just said they saw him with a weapon) – instead of stopping, the guy runs and the cop chases him thru the parking lot (why did he run?) — later, you hear the cop say the suspect has a gun (probably because this is the reason the cops were called; so far, no gun has been seen on the suspect) – suddenly the suspect emerges from a row of parked cars and the cop opens fire, obviously hitting him – the rest of the video consists of cops talking to the suspect, and attempting to treat the gunshot wounds — in the video, the suspect is never seen in possession of a gun — he does, however, have a black head covering – that is probably part of the reason someone called 911 when they saw him carry a weapon into the store.

Maybe they were, but it’s not in this video.

At the following link is another video of the same incident, and there you do see what is said to be cops finding a weapon under a car in the parking lot, but it’s not clear if it belonged to the suspect — link

They ought to be able to check the gun for fingerprints, etc.

The linked video perhaps also clarifies the question of why he ran: after leaving the hospital he was jailed for 'violating a probation warrant' (whatever that means) -- so it could be he was in possession of a weapon, which violated probation conditions, and that's why he ran, even if he hadn't committed any crime (e.g. robbing the store) -- if stopped, searched, and force to show ID, finding a weapon would have resulted in immediate arrest.

He was hospitalized and later jailed but has since been released, mlive.com reported.

So at the moment he is not in custody, and it’s not clear if he will be charged.

All in all, another useless criminal ni--er doing stupid s--t, which is too typical of black males in the U.S., which is why Whitey has to be distracted with refrains of “black lives matter” and accusations of “racial profiling.”
