ReplyDeleteIf Trump was deliberately infected to sabotage his re election bid, it could backfire. Covid has wildly varying symptoms, some it kills or brings to near death, others cold or mild flu symptoms for a few days then are fine, and everything in between. If Trump has that kind of immune system and recovers quickly he could be hale and hearty with weeks until the election. What a coup that would be if he was back on the campaign trail in a week or so at full strength. He doesn't strike me as being robustly healthy but there are 90 something year olds that have reported experiencing only mild systems so who knows. If I was him and he does recover quickly, I'd watch my back.
The thing is,if his immune system were in decent shape--and his genetics were favorable--he would be asymptomatic--not suffering "mild Covid" symptoms.
ReplyDeleteI heard yesterday,from the onset of the first symptoms,a patient usually has 7 days of illness,with the seriousness not defined for 7 days.If by then,Trump isn't on a respirator and is recovering-- that's that.
His fatigue is troubling,to say the least.

Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett was diagnosed with COVID-19 earlier this year but has since recovered, according to reports from The Washington Post and CNN.
Barrett was reportedly diagnosed with the virus in the summer. According to White House officials, Barrett tested negative for COVID-19 on Friday morning.

President Donald Trump nominated Barrett to take Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's spot on the Supreme Court at a ceremony at the White House on Saturday. At least one attendee at that event, University of Notre Dame President Rev. John Jenkins, has since tested positive for COVID-19, though it's not clear how or when he contracted the virus.
In addition to her work as a judge on the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, Barrett is also a faculty member at Notre Dame.
Trump himself announced early Friday morning that he had contracted COVID-19. He's reportedly suffering mild symptoms.
