Eric Boyd wins delay in Christian/Newsom torture slayings trial - from Knoxville News Sentinel
A Knox County judge on Wednesday delayed the upcoming trial of Eric Boyd, the fifth and final suspect to be charged in the January 2007 torture slayings of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom.
Nicholas,
Here is Jamie's article on today's hearing.

Channon Christian Christopher Newsom Murder Eric Boyd Trial
N.S.: Boyd's argument, such as it is, is that since he's gotten away with murder for this long, he is entitled to a freebie. The simple response to that sophistry is that there is no statute of limitations on murder, and murder victims are entitled to justice for as long as a single one of their unpunished killers is still alive.
Boyd's attorney is turning the principle, "Justice delayed is justice denied" on is head, in a black version, with the implied premise, "It ain't over 'til the black felon wins."
To anyone who would claim that I am presuming Boyd's guilt, I say, his own attorney is presuming his guilt, just as any attorney playing the "crazy card" presumes his client's guilt.
Legal "gaming" the system prolongs the whole event to the extent that it becomes an issue?? THEY have it all figured out, don't THEY? THEY.
