The Palm Restaurant Set to Close After More Than 30 Years

A popular Dallas restaurant is closing its doors.

A popular Dallas restaurant is closing its doors. The Palm has been serving steaks in the West End along Ross Avenue for more than three decades. But management has announced the restaurant will shut down June 30 over concerns for the safety of customers

ATR: Not near the 'hood.

But close enough via DART light rail.

N.S.: One of the unwritten stories of this age is the role light rail has had in destroying malls. Every time developers get a deal to build a light rail connecting a Diversity City to another suburban mall, it’s a death sentence for the mall. And now, it’s not just malls that are being killed. So, why do politicians keep on okaying such deals? The developers make billions off of them, and they fill pols’ pockets with bribes campaign contributions, to get them to sign off on them. And most American politicians are cheap dates.

Instead of reporting the story, the MSM spread fake news, and can’t keep their lies straight. They sell light rail, based on its “convenience,” but then tell the public that retailers’ shutting down of ever more stores in malls is due to consumers’ favoring the “convenience” of the Internet. Which is it?

The truth is that the evil media support racist black thugs’ laying to waste of malls, presumably because that involves the inconveniencing of white shoppers.

As for the Internet, what do malls sell more of than anything else? To my knowledge, clothes. How many people prefer buying clothes online, rather than going to the store, to try them on? None that I know of.

There’s a certain poetic justice to the shutting down of department stores, in that in my part of the country, most of them refuse to hire whites, while living off of whites’ shopping dollars.

However, if light rail is putting restaurants out of business, things have hit a new level of urgency.

  1. You nailed it.What actions that politicians SHOULD be taking--for the people that still want a decent city, country etc--never gets done. And why should the pols care? They live nowhere near the blight they create or suffer the consequences of their votes.

  2. Latest Lefty attack to dehumanize the President.
CNN host Reza Aslan called President Trump "a piece of s---" and "an embarrassment to humankind" on Saturday night after Trump renewed his call for U.S. courts to approve his executive order banning travel from six Muslim-majority countries in the wake of a deadly terror attack in London.

The Iranian-born Aslan is the host of CNN's "Believer" that airs weekly on Sunday nights. The 45-year-old author and religious scholar also called the president a "man baby" in a subsequent tweet in response to a decision by NBC News to not report on Trump's retweet of a Drudge Report tweet because it contained "unconfirmed information" at the time. The network instead referred to the situation as a "security incident" instead.
GRA:I just got what this is all about.Colbert,Meyers, now this Arab on CNN,the blacks, like Joy Reid on MSNBC...they want to turn Trump into a subhuman, beneath contempt lowlife,in order to get some nut cases to try to kill him. That can be the only explanation for the abusive language. The white "entertainers"are simply talking up the anti-Trump hate, to attract the liberal audience.Another disgrace with severe ramifications.
This is a total disregard for the political process. But that's what you get with minorities who don't have a history here in this country. They don't accept the fact that Trump is president for 4 more years--so the liberal induced violence you see on college campuses and city riots is now being transferred to one person--DJTrump.They want him out. They want him impeached or they want him dead.

  3. I believe the same happened to the Mall of America. The colored in St. Paul complained they had no public access to the mall. So a special bus line was made just for them. The colored began to show up and the party [riot] was on. But don't speak of it and keep your voice down.

  4. Highland Mall, in north central Austin, died several years ago. I can't verify this, but a friend told me that more stuff was stolen at that mall's JC Penny's store than was sold.

After that mall died, JC Penny's opened a new store several miles to the north on the IH35 access road. I don't think that it can be reached by bus. So some of its old "customers" weren't able to give it any more of their "business."
