I'm a black woman in Liuisuana & Yes a hate crime definitely came to mind & I do agree with your theory! The thought to grab the weapon while realizing your about to be taped is hindsight 20/20,I'm sure HG was paralyzed in every way so I get her actions but I wonder if they expected their men to fight back!! May all the victims rest in peace!! I checked Amazon and the book is Kindle only with a length of 15 pages.

David In TNAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24200494.post-10575094308413768422014-09-11T00:34:47.673-04:002014-09-11T00:34:47.673-04:00MSNBC, of all people, did a program on the Wichita...MSNBC, of all people, did a program on the Wichita Massacre in 2009. It was a lot better than this one.

No attempt to "explain," and some good trial footage. The detective (who helped catch BTK) on the case told about being called out that night and arresting the perps.

One of them (Jonathan Carr) was afraid of the death penalty. He needn't have worried.

David In TNAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24200494.post-89243069400119127522014-09-10T21:31:44.685-04:002014-09-10T21:31:44.685-04:00Chicago guy,

What's worse is that even Republicans are full of socialist-communist rationalizations for black evil, these days. At least by the end of the show, the "experts" had dropped that nonsense, though who knows what the order was before the editing began.

On a positive note, at least people are writing books about this atrocity, and I did learn some new things, like how they happened onto those young folks' home, and how one of the brothers acted during the trial.

However, I had read that the lone survivor was wearing a steel hair clip, and here the reporter (Farris) said it was plastic. I'm skeptical about her claim. I doubt a plastic hair clip would have saved the young woman.Nicholashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12372393717833610657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24200494.post-69799675589490032182014-09-10T21:14:50.007-04:002014-09-10T21:14:50.007-04:00Took a look at the program. Almost as if they themselves were victims of the circumstances of their lives. They were bad seeds, evil from the get-go. Too bad their capital punishment sentences were overturned.
