“Keon Gill, 43, was fatally shot in the chest and an unidentified 35-year-old man was shot in the knee after the festivities at west 242nd street and broadway in riverdale at about 2:50 a.m., cops and a report in the daily news said.

242nd and Broadway is not Riverdale. That intersection is in a valley between Riverdale and Kingsbridge. It is a nomans land with public housing and the elevated subway.

ReplyDelete(2urban girls)LOS ANGELES – Police Wednesday are investigating a shooting in Jefferson Park that left an 18-year-old man dead.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 12:49 a.m. Wednesday to the 3600 block of Sixth Avenue between Fifth and Sixth avenues regarding a shots fired call.
When they arrived at the scene, the officers learned the victim and another 18-year-old man were engaged in a verbal dispute when the victim was shot in the chest, according to an LAPD spokesman.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The second man ran away from the scene in an unknown direction. It was unclear if the shooting was accidental.
GRA: Is that what police said? The death is about as accidental as a drive-by.
