CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Police in North Carolina have charged a 33-year-old man with critically injuring another person in a stabbing on a Charlotte commuter train, just a few months after a Ukrainian refugee riding one of the city’s trains was killed in an unrelated knife attack.
Oscar Solarzano, 33, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon and other crimes stemming from the Friday afternoon attack in which he wielded a large knife, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said in a news release.
Police said the victim suffered a stab wound and was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
Solarzano was being held in jail Saturday without bond. A magistrate judge said in a court filing that the suspect was in the U.S. illegally and had previously been deported. He faced a hearing Monday morning in Mecklenburg County District Court.
An arrest warrant filed in a North Carolina court says Solarzano appeared to be intoxicated and was slurring his words when he challenged the victim to a fight.
Online court and jail records did not list an attorney for Solarzano.
The attack comes less than four months after a 23-year-old woman from Ukraine was killed on a Charlotte commuter train in an apparently random assault captured on video. The victim, Iryna Zarutska, had been living in a bomb shelter in Ukraine before coming to to the U.S. to escape the war, her relatives said.

(Breitbart)Authorities continued hunting over the weekend for the last of three inmates who escaped from a Louisiana lockup in a cinematic fashion by using tied bed sheets to scale a wall and then lower themselves from jail’s roof.
First, the inmates reportedly removed concrete blocks from a deteriorating wall and then employed the sheets in the escape from Landry Parish jail in Opelousas, a parish seat of about 15,000 residents located about 130 miles northwest of New Orleans.
Police were pursuing leads on Saturday to locate 24-year-old Keith Eli, who has been at large for three days, sheriff’s office spokesman Mark LeBlanc told the Associated Press.
Eli had been jailed on a charge of second-degree murder.
“We would prefer that he surrender himself peaceably,” St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz said in a statement. “But we will not rest until he is captured.”
The two other escaped(negroes)were accounted for.

ATLANTA:WHITMAN MAYO LOOK-A-LIKE GETS SHOT DEAD BY bLACKIE RESTAURANT MANAGER IN FIGHT OVER MAYO'S DAUGHTER
(11 Alive news)PALMETTO, Ga. — Police are investigating after they said a father was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Bojangles restaurant by the manager at a Palmetto restaurant on Sunday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched to the restaurant at 9135 Roosevelt Highway around 1:15 p.m. for a person shot call. Officers and fire officials found the man dead in the parking lot.
Early investigation shows that two men, a Bojangles manager and the victim, were involved in an argument, which escalated into a deadly shooting.
Palmetto Police arrested Maurice Nolan Evans of Forest Park for murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. They said he is an employee of Bojangles.
11 Alive's Gilat Melamed spoke to a family member of the victim on scene, who identified the victim as Dominique Goodman, who the relative said was a father. They sent the following photo of him to 11Alive.

His relative Marlene Lately rushed to the restaurant on Roosevelt Highway.
"My son called me and I didn't hesitate, I jumped up and got ready and came out here," Lately said.
She said Goodman came to the restaurant because his teenage daughter — who works there — called him asking for help.
"I guess her and the manager might have got into it or something like that, so she called her dad, which any child would do, and the dad came up there to see about his daughter," Lately said.

Lately said when Goodman arrived, the manager was waiting for him in the parking lot.

I had a jury summons not long before this trial but didn't get chosen for anything. They must have realized I'm a wild card and we have a justice system here designed to protect criminals, especially if they're black. It's loaded with woke judges and lawyers, and we have a woke DA. I doubt anybody who might have convicted the black guy would have had a chance to be selected.

(ZH)New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is using his last months in office to release dozens of inmates convicted of homicide — and says many more are coming, according to NJ 101.5.
Since December 2024, Murphy has granted clemency to 283 offenders, including 31 people convicted of murder, felony murder, or aggravated manslaughter, according to NJ 101.5. Some had been serving life sentences or faced decades before being eligible for parole. All will now walk free with five years of supervision.
The governor fast-tracked the releases after creating a new Clemency Advisory Board. In November alone, he freed 23 convicted killers. Murphy has defended the move by highlighting a few cases involving women he says were victims of abuse and “received excessive sentences.”
NJ 101.5 reported that many of the other newly freed inmates were convicted of brutal crimes unrelated to domestic violence. For example:
(black)Sammy Moore received life with 40 years before parole for murder, attempted murder and armed robbery.
(White)Anthony Leahey was convicted of three murders in a fatal stabbing case.
(guess)Lamar Alford was sentenced to at least 63 years for shooting a drug dealer over money.
(guess)Jamal Muhammad helped plan multiple shootings and was convicted of felony murder.
All are now out early due to Murphy’s clemency.
Anti-prison groups are ecstatic.
