MASS WHEELCHAIR ATTACK:JOE NAMATH'S SPECIAL FOUR WHEELCHAIRS FOUND VANDALIZED--HE'S "DOUBTFUL" FOR THIS WEEK'S GAME
GRA:Jets coach Aaron Glenn revealed at today's press conference that both the primary and three back-up wheelchairs that 82 year old quarterback,Joe Namath uses in games this season, were found destroyed in the Jets clubhouse.
"They're state of the art, flexible, mobile, yet the sturdiest wheelchairs ever invented. The chairs were shot, hammered and had acid poured on them. It will take a week to replace them,"said Glenn.
NY police, investigating the crime, said," It looks like a targeted attack. With that said,we can safely say, there appears to be no danger to any other wheelchairs in the city of new York."
Namath was disgusted.
"I knew the world had gone rotten since I played on two legs, but to do something like this..."
Joe shook his head and pushed his walker away from the press.
JETS' "INJURED" PLAYER,KRIS BOYD,RECOVERING FROM A GANG BLAST
(abc7)FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd, who was shot in the abdomen early Sunday morning outside a Manhattan restaurant, was upgraded to stable condition as police continued to search for the gunman, a New York Police Department spokesman said Wednesday.
Boyd, 29, hospitalized in Manhattan, has underdone multiple procedures to have the bullet removed from his right lung, sources told ABC News.
A smiling Boyd shared more positive news in an Instagram Story post Wednesday.
"I'm coming along, starting to breathe on my own now," he wrote. "Sincerely appreciate everyone!"
Jets coach Aaron Glenn addressed the matter for the first time Wednesday, saying Boyd is "going to come out of this thing really, really well."
(GRA:Signed a one year 1.3 million dollar contract and hasn't played a down. Then goes out partying at 2 am. If I were the Jets,I'd sue to void the contract.)
The shooting occurred just after 2 a.m. ET Sunday outside a midtown restaurant popular with celebrities(?) Boyd, a special teams standout placed on season-ending injured reserve in the preseason due to a shoulder injury, was accompanied by teammates Jamien Sherwood and Irvin Charles, a source told ESPN.
(GRA:Can't play,but out "clubbing".)
Boyd and his friends(GRA:lol)got into a scuffle outside the restaurant with a group(GRA:lol) that included the person police are looking for, police sources told ABC news. The confrontation led to the shooting, sources said. Boyd was transported by EMS to Bellevue Hospital, where he was initially listed in critical but stable condition.
Police released surveillance footage and pictures of the man sought in the shooting, but no arrests have been made, police said.
GRA:Out with "friends",runs into a "group" of what..."non-friends",who get into a "scuffle". This is about as tamed down a description of black thugs fighting,I've seen yet. Such b.s.
