The problem with deer is that they freeze to avoid detection, but when a vehicle gets near they often panic and jump right in front of the car. The only solution is to stop or slow down drastically if you see a deer alongside the road. Unfortunately sometimes they are hidden and you don't see them until they jump in front of you--with sad consequences. Glad this beautiful deer was alright.
