It was immediately obvious that it wasn't "the family's [sic] belief" that there was a "dispute." Cops all over the country automatically make that up, when a member of an affirmative action group commits a violent crime, and when they do, they routinely engage in moral equivalence. A perp attacks a vic, but the cops say it started with a "verbal dispute," or "an altercation," whereby they use the term "altercation" to cover both arguments (improper) and fights (proper).

"on 2 january, Die Zeit for some reason tracked Younes down for a telephone interview. "the article that resulted is in equal measures predictable and infuriating. its author explains, for example, that Younes doesn't speak a word of german and that this trip, on which he fired literal explosives into somebody's home, was his first to the federal republic.

"'I want to make people laugh. I want to entertain people," [Younes] says in response to a question about the purpose of his instagram account. he is here in germany for two weeks, shooting content in various cities, including both Munich and Berlin. Younes has many friends in germany, he says, many of them [gazans] who live here, and he has made videos with them.

"Younes says that he is not familiar with german customs. 'I don't know how a rocket works either." he had only seen that people in Berlin make a lot of noise, apparently having fun. he wanted to experience that too, so he went to a shop and bought rockets. "the suspect is accused of having deliberately shot a firework rocket into an apartment on Treptower street in Neukölln at around 6:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve. the rocket hit the window of the apartment on the third floor and destroyed it. the burning rocket damaged the furniture in the bedroom of the 33-year-old apartment owner. the fire was prevented from spreading to the rest of the apartment thanks to the quick-thinking actions of the tenant, who threw the burning remains of the rocket out of the window. the tenant himself and the family in the apartment were uninjured.

Younes, the little s--t, now finds himself in custody pending trial. I hope he languishes there for months and months.

I’m on the mailing list of republican Glenn Beck’s blaze media. As such, I got an email with links to several items today. One was about a lawsuit launched by actor/director Justin Baldoni (?) at the new york times (that, I’ve heard of) for $250 million. The times is carrying water for the me-too hoax by starlet Blake Lively (I thought that was a country singer), who has alleged that Baldoni sexually harassed her, while making a movie together, and then organized a defamation campaign against her. (Does “sexually harassed” mean Baldoni slept with her, or refused to sleep with her?)

Baldoni’s team includes a female pr rep (“executive Jennifer Abel”) and a female “crisis management expert” (Melissa Nathan). Apparently, Justin Baldoni couldn’t dare to sue anyone without being surrounded by a team of females. It’s like when you’re a White guy accused treating blacks badly: You’ve got to have a black lawyer defending you, ideally, a female black lawyer.

(Note that the shoot included an “intimacy coordinator,” which is apparently one of those affirmative action jobs which are purportedly designed to reduce the prevalence of shakedown lawsuits, but which in fact only issue in yet more me-toos—me-threes?)

Afterthought: The movie was called, It Ends With Us. I had thought it was a tv show.

I do not pay attention to such entertainments, though I am interested in the shakedown lawsuits that increasingly issue from them. I am convinced that many white starlets go into such projects fully intending to sue some White man involved in the production (call him, “Harvey X”) for “sexual harassment,” “rape,” “creating a hostile work environment,” “looking at me crossways,” etc., or else looking to marry and then defame and destroy a man involved in the production.

A second or two after I opened the link from blaze media, it blocked the screen, with a demand that I pay a subscription fee to read the “thing.”

I went back to the email, and saw that the “thing” had been written by one Christian Toto—a man, unfortunately, not Dorothy’s dog. The name sounded familiar.

I checked my archives, and sure enough, in 2012 a “conservative movie critic” for Breitbart named Christian Toto had written a “thing” supporting the central park five hoax. The “thing” included a powder puff interview with racial arsonist Ken Burns (zanu pf), the head of what I have dubbed the Burns gang, for his mockumentary, the central park five.

The other day I saw a movie that was more recent than I typically care to watch. It wasn’t even very good (weak script, poor music, and lousy sound), but it presented two brilliant performances by its stars, Lee Marvin and Ernie Borgnine: Emperor of the North (Pole) (1973). I’ll post it, as soon as I can edit the rough draft.

(ZH) the details surrounding Cybertruck bomber Matthew Livelsberger continue to drip - with two 'manifesto' letters found in the Cybertruck itself, and another 'manifesto' he emailed to former Navy SEAL Sam Shoemate.

In the letters found in the Cybertruck, Livelsberger described the USA as "terminally ill," and said his actions were meant as a "wake-up call," and not a terrorist attack.

The most intriguing, however, is the email he sent to Shoemate - in which he warns that the "drones" seen around the United States over the last month are using "gravatic propulsion systems," which only China and the United States possess.

Shoemate shared the email on Shawn Ryan's show, writing on X, "I knew taking this public would insert me into the “glowy boi” conspiracy cycle, especially since I’m an intelligence officer," adding "I had no choice. Dude dumped it in my inbox. When I saw his name in the news, I had little choice but to hand it over to the feds. I knew the FBI wouldn’t release it, or at least without an agenda attached, so I took it to Shawn Ryan because he has the platform to handle the magnitude of this information and will do so as objectively as possible."

According to Livelsberger's email:

"China has been launching them from the Atlantic from submarines for years, but this activity recently has picked up. As of now, it is just a show of force and they are using it similar to how they used the blloon for a sigint and isr, which are also part of the integrated comms system," he writes.

“...they are the most dangerous threat to national security that has ever existed. They basically have an unlimited payload capacity and can park over the wh if they wanted. It’s checkmate.’”

Film Noir Guide: “Sullivan plays an ambitious drifter who gets a job selling peanuts at an Ice Capades-type show. He’s soon promoted by the producer (Dekker), whom he thanks for the career advancement by seducing his wife (Belita), the star of the show.

“Enter former girlfriend Granville. An avalanche and two murders do nothing to advance the lame plot, and several lengthy ice-skating numbers (designed especially for former ice-skating star Belita) only slow things down even more. Contrary to the title, the suspense is non-existent.”

David in TN: Although Suspense is a mediocre film, last week in his outro, Eddie Muller exulted how much he likes it.

In his intro and outro last week for Kiss Me Deadly, Eddie told how left-wing director Robert Aldrich hated Mickey Spillane’s Mike Hammer character (Aldrich considered it “fascist, McCarthyite”) and subverted it, making Kiss Me Deadly the “best” version of Hammer. When released in 1955, it failed at the box office. But (naturally) critics ever since love it. What Eddie doesn’t get is, it was Spillane who was “subversive,” not the left-wing film critics.

I first saw Kiss Me Deadly on The Late Show, while in college. It didn’t sustain the Hammer of the books. Ralph Meeker was a strong actor, and would have made a good Mike Hammer with the right script.

[N.S., 2024: The Late Show was a long-running, CBS movie feature that aired weeknights at 11:30, immediately following the local news. Some of the movies were excellent, while others were so-so. Following The Late Show, The Late, Late Show aired at 1 or 1:30 a.m., broadcasting inferior movies.

During the 1970s, when I began frequently watching The Late Show, it had a nifty, animated opening sequence, with a lonely man in his little house in bed. Suddenly, the roof would open up, the furniture would spin around to a cute, techy musical theme, and voila!, his living room was a theater under the stars!]

N.S., 2020: David, I have seen so many lefties thrive in 1950s and early 60s Hollywood, and so many later lie and say they were “blacklisted,” that I no longer believe anything I read or hear from them, their comrades, or their groupies.

N.S., 2024: Seeing stills from this movie, it occurred to me that I’d seen it, but all I remember was the murder weapon. Otherwise, it was completely forgettable.

That’s a shame, because its scriptwriter, Philip Yordan (1914-2003), had a great career up through The Battle of the Bulge (1965), writing scripts that became classics (Detective Story, 1951; Johnny Guitar, 1954; Broken Lance, also 1954; The Man from Laramie, 1955; and God's Little Acre, 1958) and masterpieces (The Harder They Fall, 1956).
