I missed the Williams' years at UNC.NCAA not my cup of tea--too many nigs doing what nigs do after each basket, steal or blocked shot.Couldn't watch it anymore--coincides with Dean Smith retiring--in that time frame anyways.

SHADES OF FAUX METS OF 2020--DOUBLE NO HITTER FOR SIX INNINGS BETWEEN BREWERS AND TWINS;BREWERS WIN 2-0

(ESPN)MILWAUKEE

Jose Berríos and three relievers combined on a one-hitter with 17 strikeouts as Minnesota beat Corbin Burnes and the Brewers 2-0 on Saturday in the season's best pitchers' duel so far.

Berríos (1-0) struck out 12 in six hitless innings but was pulled after Minnesota’s Byron Buxton broke a scoreless tie with a leadoff homer against Burnes (0-1) in the seventh inning — the first hit by either team. Only then did Berríos look at the scoreboard and realize he hadn’t given up any hits.

“I would have tried, but Rocco’s the manager,” Berríos said. “Whatever decision he’s going to make, I respect.”

The Twins wanted to make sure Berríos didn't overexert himself in his first start of the season. He threw 84 pitches with 55 strikes.

Minnesota's bullpen nearly completed the no-hitter.

Taylor Rogers struck out the side in the seventh, and Tyler Duffey retired the first batter in the eighth before walking Lorenzo Cain and giving up a single to Omar Narváez.

Duffey got out of the jam by striking out Daniel Vogelbach and getting Billy McKinney to hit an inning-ending fly to right. Alex Colomé retired the side in order in the ninth for his first save.

Berríos and Co. had to be just about perfect to outduel Burnes, who struck out 11 and didn't walk anyone.

Neither team had a hit or walk until Buxton's homer, which came on Burnes' 87th and final pitch. Burnes and Berríos each hit a batter in the fifth inning.

This was the first game in which both teams were hitless through six innings since an Aug. 2, 2014, duel between Jake Peavy of the San Francisco Giants and Jacob DeGrom of the New York Mets. Both teams got hits in the seventh inning of that game, which the Mets won 4-2.

GRA:The Twins needed Ron Cey to hit a game tying HR in the ninth, lol.I just thought this was an unusual game,so I decided to mention it.Carry on.

DMX(who?)TRYING TO PULL A "GE0RGE FLOYD"--AND DROP DEAD FROM AN O.D.

GRA:Drugs, cardiac arrest and right around St.George Floyd's age too.Never heard of him,but why would I?

(AP)

“On Friday night, April 2nd, 2021, our brother, son, father, and colleague DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, was admitted to White Plains (NY) Hospital, facing serious health issues,” the family said through a publicist. Another statement released Sunday afternoon said the rapper remained in a coma and was on a ventilator.

Simmons’ longtime lawyer, Murray Richman, said the rapper was admitted to the intensive care unit at White Plains Hospital after going into cardiac arrest. Richman said he could not confirm reports that DMX, 50, overdosed on drugs and was not sure what caused the heart attack.
GRA:It was Derek Chauvin--natch.

Late word from CNN--they reported,"there was little brain activity after the(confirmed)O.D.".I suspect DMX's brain activity was the same--both BEFORE AND AFTER the overdose.Lesta Holt should have 5 minutes on this Monday night for all you DMX fans.

MUSHNICK'S QUOTE--GETS TO THE POINT

"How did his star guard Rashad McCants make the academic Dean’s List — four A’s in his four classes — when, by his own admission, he didn’t attend a single class? Or was that for perfect attendance at practice?"

GRA:blacks are recruited, one must assume, with the promise of lots of White girls and very little class time.Yes,Roy Williams is a fraud--but more importantly, the University of North Carolina is a fraud, however,I'm sure, not the only school with this philosophy--by a longshot.University chancellor and higher ups' heads should roll.

All these major schools engage in some sort of shenanigans involving the jocks and their taking course, grades, graduation, etc. Only two major schools the athletes graduate in four years in large numbers. Duke and Notre Dame.
