R.C.: What’s up with the Puerto Rican chief of the po-po?

N.S.: How would "road rage," which is already a fig leaf for all sorts of often racist thuggery, "lead to" someone's "death," as if we're talkng about a contagious disease. It wasn't Kevin Jiang's death, but his murder that is in question. And the one thing nobody is disputing is that somebody murdered Kevin Jiang.

The AP "thing" consists of a mass of euphemisms.

The AA police chief, Otoniel Reyes, emphasized that Jiang's killing was "not random." Since "random murder" is typically used as a euphemism for a racially motivated, black-on-White hate crime, was Chief Reyes simply euphemizing that Jiang wasn't White? But anyone who's been around the block knows that Jiang is a Chinese name.

I'm still working on this story, but I'm going to have to come back to it.
