Not a joke.
Years ago, I worked with an American who had lived and worked in South Africa for a few years. Both he and I worked together for the International Assignment Services division of Deloitte & Touche.
He told me that he NEVER stopped at red traffic lights while driving in South Africa. He’d slow down as he approached the red light, look both ways and then drive through the intersection.
His Ford Sapphire https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samcor#/media/File:93FS18TD1.jpg had ‘roo bars on its front end. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/roo_bar#/media/File:MSV_21_Toyota_Hilux_4X4_3.0_D4-D_-_Flickr_-_Highway_Patrol_Images.jpg
One time, he was stuck behind another vehicle at a red light.
The light turned green, but the other vehicle did not proceed through the intersection.
So, thinking he was going to be robbed or carjacked, he put his car into low gear, drove his car forward until it engaged the other vehicle’s rear bumper, and proceeded to shove the other vehicle out of the way.
Then he drove through the intersection, and took off.
Coming soon to a BLM ‘hood nearest you.
