“The training caps a series of efforts that the company has undertaken to recover from criticism concerning an incident that occurred at a Starbucks store in downtown Philadelphia in April. A manager call [sic] police to arrest two African-American men for trespassing. The pair was peacefully [?!] waiting to meet with another man to talk about a business deal and hadn't made any purchases. One man asked to use the restroom -- and was told he couldn't.”
“The pair was peacefully waiting…”
Who wrote this, the racist shakedown artists’ PR firm? The racist shakedown artist was told he couldn’t use the bathroom, because he hadn’t bought anything.
“Since the incident, the Seattle-based chain has apologized to the victims, who received a financial settlement. Starbucks created a new policy which allows people who don't make purchases to use restrooms.”
What “victims”?
And is that “people,” or colored people?
“None have any of them made a play for Tuesday afternoon's business.”
English, please?
“The sessions are expected to be guided by workbooks, employee conversation starters and videos presented on iPads, Starbucks disclosed Thursday. Included in the pre-recorded messages are insights by Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson, Starbucks executive chairman Howard Schultz and rapper Common.
“To develop the training, Starbucks requested input from national and local experts [?!], including former U.S. attorney general Eric Holder; Sherrilyn Ifill, president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund; and Heather McGhee, president of the public-policy organization Demos.”
“Insights”? That’s got to be from a Starbucks press release. Besides, Kevin Johnson and “Common” have no insights. (I’m not familiar with Howard Schultz.) They’re both notorious racists. Common has performed a rap thing celebrating black supremacist, convicted cop-killer and fugitive from justice, Joanne Chesimard, alias Assata Shakur.
(I just determined that he’s the really stupid-sounding black guy who did a series of idiotic Microsoft commercials for Bill Gates.)
Eric Holder and Sherrilyn Ifill are likewise black supremacist monsters; I’m unfamiliar with Heather McGhee.

As Starbucks prepares to close stores for racial-bias training on Tuesday, the coffee giant will not only be confronting a difficult and emotional issue, but will incur some hefty expenses in the process.
Starbucks' decision to initiate the training will cost $12 million in lost profit as it closes the doors of more than 8,000 company-owned stores and its corporate office Tuesday afternoon, estimates Sharon Zackfia, a partner at investment banking firm William Blair.
The training caps a series of efforts that the company has undertaken to recover from criticism concerning an incident that occurred at a Starbucks store in downtown Philadelphia in April. A manager call [sic] police to arrest two African-American men for trespassing. The pair was peacefully [?!] waiting to meet with another man to talk about a business deal and hadn't made any purchases. One man asked to use the restroom -- and was told he couldn't.
Since the incident, the Seattle-based chain has apologized to the victims [sic], who received a financial settlement. Starbucks created a new policy which allows people who don't make purchases to use restrooms.
Starbucks' training will be open to up to 180,000 employees between its stores and headquarters. Workers will be paid while they are attending.
While $12 million is a relatively small impact for Starbucks, which posted net income of $660 million in the quarter ended April 1, the chain is hoping the investment pays off when it comes to customer care, boosting the brand's long-term value.
"You want to patronize a business that treats its employees and customers well. [But the two racist shakedown artists were not customers, and the new policy is likewise for non-customers!] Starbucks has gone much further than many other companies in this regards," said John Zolidis, president of Quo Vadis Capital. "The sensitivity training, together with everything else Starbucks is doing, should be beneficial to the brand."
[Economically, the “training” would only be beneficial, if it drew people in as customers who were not previously customers. However, that is unlikely to happen, as there are no pc whites left who are not Starbucks customers. The only people the new policy is likely to attract are racist black and Hispanic non-customers, who are likely to chase away a portion of Starbucks’ paying clientele, just as Panera’s chased away many paying white Chicago customers, when it opened a store in a white neighborhood, where people only had to pay as much or as little as they saw fit.]
Seattle-based Starbucks may minimize the impact by having chosen a lightly-trafficked time of day, the afternoon after the lunch rush, and following a long holiday weekend to shutter its coffee shops.
The sessions will begin at 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. local time and last three to four hours, Starbucks said. Most stores won’t reopen after the training is over, though most normally stay open well into the night.
The only other chainwide closure in Starbucks' 47-year history was in 2008 for espresso training for baristas, according to the company. That mass shutdown translated into $6 million in lost profits, according to Zackfia. Closing costs include not only lost sales, but also salaries paid to employees.
Starbucks' coffee competitors have been standing back. Chains like Dunkin' Donuts and Tim Hortons have remained silent as the fallout from the Starbucks incident in Philadelphia unfolded. None have any of them made a play for Tuesday afternoon's business.
"If a competitor is closing to do sensitivity training around an extremely sensitive topic, to somehow try to take advantage of that would be perceived poorly," said Zolidis.
The sessions are expected to be guided by workbooks, employee conversation starters and videos presented on iPads, Starbucks disclosed Thursday. Included in the pre-recorded messages are insights by Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson, Starbucks executive chairman Howard Schultz and rapper Common.
To develop the training, Starbucks requested input from national and local experts, including former U.S. attorney general Eric Holder; Sherrilyn Ifill, president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund; and Heather McGhee, president of the public-policy organization Demos.
In a phone briefing for the media on Thursday, Ifill and McGhee said they spent many hours talking to company executives in person and on the phone, e-mailing them and drafting a list of sensitivity trainers that Starbucks could contact. They laud Starbucks' effort.
"I don’t know a company as ubiquitous as Starbucks is… that has stated their willingness to directly confront racism and bias within their own company," Ifill said. "That’s powerful."

TCM's Film Noir of the Week at Midnight ET Saturday Night-Sunday Morning (and 10 a.m. Sunday) is The Clay Pigeon (1949)

TCM's Film Noir of the Week at Midnight ET Saturday Night-Sunday Morning (and 10 a.m. Sunday) is The Clay Pigeon (1949).
The Clay Pigeon has an angle seen in several late 40's film noirs—the amnesiac WW II veteran, aka “amnesia noir.” In this one, the vet is accused of treason, while in a Japanese POW camp. He wakes up in a Navy hospital under guard but escapes, and goes on the run.
Bill Williams stars as the veteran. Barbara Hale, Williams' real-life wife, teams with him to find the truth. Richard Loo, the movies’ favorite Japanese bad guy, plays a Japanese prison camp guard now in the USA living in Los Angeles, involved in a criminal gang. This sadistic guard was called "The Weasel" by the American prisoners.
Richard Fleischer directed with his usual style of getting a lot of action in a 63-minute film.
Richard Loo's character is obviously based on Tomoya Kawakita, who was a Nisei who went to Japan in 1939 and was employed (as were several Japanese-Americans) as guards, who generally were as brutal as the others. Kawakita was called the "Meatball" by the American prisoners.

Fictional bad guys played by Robert Bray and Richard Loo

The real Tomoya Kawakita in Los Angeles County Jail, 1947
Kawakita reentered the United States after the war. He was spotted by a former POW in Los Angeles, who took down Kawakita's license plate, leading to his arrest and trial for treason. This was in the news when The Clay Pigeon was made.
Kawakita was convicted of treason and sentenced to death, which was commuted in 1953. Kawakita was paroled and deported to Japan 10 years later, on the condition he not come back.
Google "Tomoya Kawakita" for information on the case.
The Clay Pigeon repeats at 10 a.m. ET Sunday, May 27. Let's see if our friend Eddie Muller mentions Kawakita, aka "The Meatball," being the inspiration for Richard Loo's "The Weasel."
N.S.: Nota bene: If not for Barbara Hale’s persistence, and the help of B-film director Edward Killy, Hale and Williams would never have gotten hitched.
Hale on her marriage to Bill Williams: “It took me two years to talk him into marrying me.”
Hale on making B-oater, West of the Pecos (1945):
“I told the director, Edward Killy, about casting a smaller role in the film for Bill Williams. Killy was sort of a stocky man, and had a cigar. He was a short man, and that cigar was about as big as he was . . . He smoked all the time! But he said, ‘Sure, Barb, I'll get Bill Williams up here in Lone Pine.’ He knew I had a crush on Bill. So Killy said, "I'll give him one scene at the beginning of the shoot and another at the end of the picture, so Bill can stay the whole time!’ That was so nice of him.”
Hale and Williams married on June 22, 1946, and remained wed for 46 years, until death they did part, on September 21, 1992. Although Hale would live another 24 years, until she died at 94 on January 26, 2017, she never wed again.
I'm reminded of what Nancy Barbato Sinatra, now 101, once said when a reporter asked her why she never remarried, after divorcing Frank Sinatra: "When you've had the best, all the rest are disappointments."

Another Kritarch Strikes at Immigration Enforcement—Judge Stops Arrests of Illegals Already Ordered Deported
By Federale Federale
May 24, 2018, 12:57 A.M.
VDARE
An imperious Federal judge has decided that his personal opinion about immigration enforcement policies is the same as the law. In a lawless action, Kritarch Mark Wolf has personally attacked immigration officers and successfully intimidated U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) into ending arresting illegal aliens when they show up to claim immigration benefits to which they do not qualify for.
Wolf called top Massachusetts ICE officials to federal court for questioning Tuesday. Wolf has held that ICE “broke the law” in failing to give detainees adequate notice for their Post-Order Custody Review. While ostensibly about a few days delay in giving an arrested illegal alien a routine notice, a notice that of was of no legal or procedural importance, as the alien in question had an outstanding deportation order and was subject to immediate removal without any right to any hearing, the real issue was the Kritarch Wolf did not like the idea that illegal aliens are being arrested and deported.
Wolf focused, in part, on the case of Lucimar de Souza, who was arrested by five ICE officers in January. They waited outside the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration office in Boston where de Souza was completing a confirmation of marriage interview, among the last steps to secure her legal status. De Souza is married to a United States citizen and has a 10-year-old son who was born in the country. [Federal Judge to ICE Official: When the Government Breaks the Law It Has ‘Profound Human Consequences,’ by Jacqueline Tempera, MassLive, May 22, 2018.]
Just review his line of questioning in a case allegedly about a delay of a legal notice:
During a tense hearing on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement procedures, federal Judge Mark Wolf paused to ask his witness a personal question. Those questions were illegal and unethical, the questions had no relevance to the issue at hand, an alleged delay in a legal notice of no importance.
“How many children do you have?” Wolf asked ICE field officer Thomas F. Brophy, who has served as acting field office director in Boston since February.
“Three,” Brophy said.
Can you imagine, Wolf asked, how it would feel to be facing deportation while separated from your spouse and children?
“I don’t know if I thought about that,” Brophy said.
The question about a witnesses children or a nonsensical question about deporting an American citizen was not relevant to the matter at hand and was clearly designed to intimidate and humiliate the witness, an official of the United States executing his lawful duties; arresting illegal aliens.
Kritarch Wolf even allowed an unethical and illegal demonstration in court, and demanded that the government consider a staged video involving the illegal alien in question returning home and greeting her children.
Wolf hammered home the human impacts of the clerical errors made by the agency during Tuesday’s hearing. An illegal alien in detention is not a “profound human consequence” and was again clearly designed to appeal to emotion rather than the law, all in service to Kritarch Wolf’s own ideology rather than the law.
“You see when you look at that video for example when the government breaks the law it can have profound human consequences,” Wolf said.
And the whole exercise of intimidating ICE officials had its intent, the intent of Kritarch Wolf, to end arrests of arrogant illegal aliens who appear at immigration offices to demand immigration benefits after absconding from a deportation order.
Federal agents in Massachusetts have halted the controversial practice of arresting undocumented immigrants who are visiting government offices in hopes of gaining legal status, an immigration official told a federal judge Tuesday. [ICE Agents in Mass. Halt Controversial Practice of Office Arrests, by Maria Cramer, Boston Globe, May 23, 2018]Sadly, instead of standing up for the independence of the Executive Branch, a minor bureaucrat in ICE overturned a Presidential order to arrest all illegal aliens ICE encounters. The bureaucrat, Thomas Brophy, appears to be a #DeepState operative working to thwart immigration enforcement.
The decision represents a reversal by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and follows sharp questioning by a federal judge in Boston over the practice, which has drawn a legal challenge from the American Civil Liberties Union as a symbol of the Trump administration’s aggressive stance on illegal immigration. In fact, the Deep Stater Brophy, a mere acting official, has reinstated the infamous Morton Memos, the illegal and unconstitutional subversion of the immigration laws of the United States by former ICE Director John Morton.
In a tense court hearing Tuesday, Thomas Brophy, the acting director of Boston’s ICE field office, told US District Court Judge Mark L. Wolf that he ordered an end to the arrests on Feb. 16 after learning that immigrants seeking legal status after marrying US citizens had been arrested during scheduled visits to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services offices.
Brophy said he told his officers “we were going to focus on public safety. We were not going to conduct those arrests [at government offices] unless there was a threat to national security or public safety.”Brophy took it upon himself to overturn a written order of the President of the United States. This is insubordination and a usurpation of the authority of the President. On January 25, 2018, President Trump revoked the Morton Memos and any authority of ICE employees to ignore immigration law violations. The Obama policy of ignoring immigration law violations is no longer in effect. There was an election, but Brophy has apparently overturned the election of 2016 all on his own, as well as ignoring a written order from the President.
Sec. 2. Policy. It is the policy of the executive branch to:Furthermore, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security issued instructions to employees to act to arrest illegal aliens when encountered.
(a) Ensure the faithful execution of the immigration laws of the United States, including the INA, against all removable aliens, consistent with Article II, Section 3 of the United States Constitution and section 3331 of title 5, United States Code;
(b) Make use of all available systems and resources to ensure the efficient and faithful execution of the immigration laws of the United States…
(d) Ensure that aliens ordered removed from the United States are promptly removed. [Executive Order: Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States, by President Donald J. Trump, January 25, 2017]
Except as specifically noted above, the Department no longer will exempt classes or categories of removable aliens from potential enforcement. [Enforcement of the Immigration Laws to Serve the National Interest, Memorandum by John Kelly, February 20, 2017]The Deep State operative Brophy even cowardly blamed his predecessor for the policy of arresting illegal aliens despite the fact that arresting illegal aliens is now the nation-wide policy of ICE.
Brophy said that the practice had occurred under his predecessor, and he changed it when he took over the job in February. It was unclear Tuesday if the new approach represents a change nationally, or only in Massachusetts. While one can expect illegal and unconstitutional attacks on the President’s authority and actions from politicized kritarchs who are part of #TheResistance, such insubordination, cowardice, and unlawful activity by a bureaucrat is beyond the pale.
An ICE spokesman declined to clarify it.
As recently as March, ICE had publicly defended the practice as a strategy to keep officers safe while they conducted arrests of immigrants with longstanding deportation orders. In January alone, ICE arrested seven people at immigration offices in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, often immediately after they completed interviews as part of their bid to become legal residents.
“It has always been the case that an arrest could happen at USCIS offices,” a spokesman said in March, following the arrest of Lilian Calderon, a Guatemalan mother of two who was arrested by ICE on Jan. 17 at a government office in Rhode Island she and her American husband had visited to answer questions about her marriage.
You can contact Deep Stater Thomas Brophy here:

President Trump should also immediately fire Brophy for insubordination. We have seen the impact of his failure to fire those in the bureaucracy who sabotage his own policies. President Trump must immediately stop this contagion of minor bureaucrats thwarting his policies. This will only spread as saboteurs use the cover of kritarchs to thwart his policies.

#MeToo Meets Black Race Hoax and Results in Epic Fail!

"Blackish" hoaxer Sherita Dixon Cole
By Jerry PDX
Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11:42:00 P.M. EDT
Black drunk driver Sherita Dixon Cole is arrested for drunken driving, and falsely accuses white officer of sexual assault. This from the article:
Dixon-Cole alleged that after she failed a field sobriety test, Hubbard had “suggested she could go home in exchange for sexual favors,” according to Merritt’s initial press release. Dixon-Cole said that after she refused, she was taken to Hubbard’s police car where she was “forcefully groped, fondled and vaginally penetrated during a prolonged arrest.”Guess what? Cop had his body camera on the whole time and recorded nothing more than a polite and professional police officer doing his job.
She went on to say Hubbard continued his sexual advances on the way to the police station, even alleging that he offered to take her to a remote location where she could provide sexual favors in exchange for her release from custody.
Lawyer for Dixon-Cole has publicly apologized for his client, but when is the false accuser going to apologize? Maybe under threat of some kind of legal consequence for making a false claim she might say something, but without some leverage it won't happen. Racist, black hoaxers feel righteous about staging fake hate crimes, and will go to their graves unrepentant.

DPS Releases Body Camera Video of Ellis County Traffic Stop and DWI Arrest - 05.20.18
Texas Department of Public Safety
Published on May 22, 2018
On May 20, 2018, at approximately 1:32 a.m., a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper observed a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu traveling south on Interstate 35 in Ellis County near U.S. 287. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. Based on the traffic stop, the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI). The driver, identified as Sherita Dixon-Cole, 37, from Grapevine, was arrested and transported to the Ellis County Jail, where she was charged with DWI. Following the arrest, spurious and false accusations related to this traffic stop were made against the Texas Trooper. Upon learning of those allegations, the Texas Department of Public Safety immediately took action to review the video in connection with this traffic stop and arrest. The video shows absolutely no evidence to support the egregious and unsubstantiated accusations against the Trooper during the DWI arrest of the suspect. The Department is appalled that anyone would make such a despicable, slanderous and false accusation against a peace officer who willingly risks his life every day to protect and serve the public. At the department’s request, the Ellis County District Attorney’s Office has reviewed video of the traffic stop and arrest, and authorized the release of the video. The department today proactively and publicly released the video captured by the Trooper’s body camera (which is posted here). (Note: Certain sections of the video have been blurred or rendered inaudible to protect information that is confidential by state statute, including Cole’s personally identifiable information.)
