When Jesse Jackson rhymed

I posted an obit, so I'll just repost my comment about him:

Jesse tried doing the Nipsey Russell rhyming thing:

"Can you dance?
And make romance?
If you can,
Let me get in yo' pants.'

A lot was nonsensical black gibberish;

"The discussion,
About the Russian,
Will leave you blushin,'
Like oil gushin'."

It meant nothing.
Media ate it up.

"You have inflation,
Throughout the nation,
Which then creates,
A conflagration."

As if blacks knew what "conflagration" meant.

One last one (from me)

He was a faker,
No world shaker,
Next stop is with,
The undertaker.

N.S.: Sorry, GRA, but I completely forgot about this. Thanks for the repeat send. My attention was focused on a series of brilliant crime items from all over the country by a contributor named... Grand Rapids Anonymous.

  1. As long as we're talking lost articles, did you think my "Star Trek III--The Search For Guthrie" was in bad taste? It never even made it to the comments and I tried twice.

  2. JESSE JACKSON AFTERLIFE POEM

I have to tell a poem,
One thing I have to tell,
    mlk and I discovered,
There are no White women in hell.

You'd think there would be some here,
But I must ring the bell,
Been searching since I got here,
There are no White women in hell.

There are no White men either,
But that don't make blacks yell,
    Here's what makes us crazy,
There are no White women in hell.

So now to blacks like Cosby,
    And every black--pray tell,
    It is eternal torture,
There are no White women in hell.

  3. Remembering the Rush Limbaugh TV show running video clips of Jesse Jackson in that hooked on ebonics accent - with English-language subtitles added.

No white women in hell? None at all?? Pete Seeger singing "Where have all the Karens gone" on eternal loop would be enough to make anyone demand to see the manager.
