Good shouldn't have been IN THE ROAD causing problems for ICE,in the first place. That isn't legal protest,it's a felony. Driving away from ICE,who wants to arrest you,is a felony. Attempted murder is a felony.
Unapologetic is refreshing after a half-century streak of horrible veeps post-Agnew. (Rockefeller, Mondale, Bush Sr., Gore, Cheney, though he did make some lib heads explode, Biden, Pence, Harris.) Dodged some bullets in there, too, like Dole, Bentsen, Ryan, Ferraro, Kaine, and of course Walz.
So thanks J.D. for saying it out loud.
And Happy shared Birthday, February 18 to Vanna White and Bill Cullen. And sad 5th anniversary of Rush's passing yesterday.
Bill Cullen, probably the least likely game show host of all time. I watch "Password Plus" occasionally and Bill filled in for the cancer striken Allen Ludden,in 1980 and was a celeb player too. Very smart, thick glasses, with polio to boot. I believe he holds the record for most game shows hosted. He'd have to be at least 110 if he was still stomping around planet Earth.
INDIAN FEDERAL JUDGE,SUNSHINE SYKES,ATTEMPTS TO DESTROY PRESIDENT TRUMP'S DEPORTATION AND DETENTION POLICY;DHS REPLIES,"SUPREME COURT SAYS YOU'RE WRONG."
(GRA:Written by someone named Sudhin Thanawala. You KNOW he isn't pro-Trump.)
Ass(ociated)Press:A federal judge has accused the Trump administration of terrorizing immigrants and recklessly violating the law in its efforts to deport millions of people living in the country illegally.
Citing the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minnesota, the judge said that the White House had also “extended its violence on its own citizens.”
“The threats posed by the executive branch cannot be viewed in isolation,” U.S. District Judge Sunshine Sykes in Riverside, California said in a scathing decision issued late Wednesday.
(GRA:I thought,with a name like that the judge was a negress. Nope,an Indian(like Pocahontas)
Sykes said the administration had violated her December ruling that found it was illegally denying many detained immigrants a chance for release. She ordered the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to provide them with notice that they may be eligible for bond and then give them access to a phone to call an attorney within an hour.
She also threw out a September ruling by an immigration court that the administration had cited for continuing its mandatory detention policy.
The White House referred comment Thursday to the Homeland Security department. The department said in a statement that the Supreme Court had “repeatedly overruled” lower courts on the issue of mandatory detention.
GRA:If SCOTUS says,P.T. can do something, how can a lower court interfere again? There needs to be a permanent ruling from the high court.
