INDIAN FEDERAL JUDGE, SUNSHINE SYKES, ATTEMPTS TO DESTROY PRESIDENT TRUMP'S DEPORTATION AND DETENTION POLICY; DHS REPLIES, "SUPREME COURT SAYS YOU'RE WRONG."
(GRA: Written by someone named Sudhin Thanawala. You KNOW he isn't pro-Trump.)
Ass(ociated) Press: A federal judge has accused the Trump administration of terrorizing immigrants and recklessly violating the law in its efforts to deport millions of people living in the country illegally.
Citing the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minnesota, the judge said that the White House had also “extended its violence on its own citizens.”
“The threats posed by the executive branch cannot be viewed in isolation,” U.S. District Judge Sunshine Sykes in Riverside, California said in a scathing decision issued late wednesday.
(GRA: I thought, with a name like that, the judge was a negress. Nope, an Indian (like Pocahontas))
Sykes said the administration had violated her December ruling that found it was illegally denying many detained immigrants a chance for release. She ordered the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to provide them with notice that they may be eligible for bond and then give them access to a phone to call an attorney within an hour.
She also threw out a September ruling by an immigration court that the administration had cited for continuing its mandatory detention policy.
The White House referred comment Thursday to the Homeland Security department. The department said in a statement that the Supreme Court had “repeatedly overruled” lower courts on the issue of mandatory detention."
GRA: If SCOTUS says, P.T. can do something, how can a lower court interfere again? There needs to be a permanent ruling from the high court.

N.S.: The President merely has to have Pam Bondi issue a statement that Sunshine is in the dark, and ignore her, futhermore.
Judge Sunshine can kiss me where the sun doesn't shine. ICE has the legal authority to arrest and deport individuals who live in this country illegally. The "murders" of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, at the very least, were understandable, and in the case of the former, justifiable. Meanwhile, we need to understand that the people graduating from our law schools, like their law professors, are way on the Left. We can expect rulings like this for decades. Yes, decades. That's the depressing truth.
ReplyDeleteSCOTUS OVERTURNS TRUMP TARIFF'S 6-3; MARKETS SHRUG IT OFF
ReplyDeleteGRA:With Chief Justice Roberts and Trump female appointee,Amy Coney Barrett voting against President Trump, tariffs were ruled as a "Congressional job" and removed from Presidential powers.
Bill O'Reilly had predicted no overturn, saying the markets would crash, but Bill is oh for two on this one--stocks up about .33%.
There goes the dividend check.

Roberts is a millstone around the country's neck. Coney Barrett, you KNEW,was not a good choice, based on the blackie's she adopted. This Supreme Court is anything but.

Trump was pretty angry at the judges who,"don't want America to be great. They're under foreign influence."
ReplyDeleteOther tariffs were imposed via other means(including the 1930 Tariff Act) and the Treasury Department said, the money coming in will be equal to before.
Believe what you want.

Uh-oh, GRA predicted in this space on December 29:
Tariffs - yes,
Birthright - no.
SCOTUS decisions, delivered to you, months before they're released officially.
Let's hope he's proven correct on the Birthright. I think we all agree that's the more important one.
Hard to believe birthright will go through then. P.T. has already begun contingency tariffs that Treasury says will bring in the same $$$ as before. But who knows?

I think I said(from listening to O'Reilly on tariffs)that SCOTUS would say yes on tariffs but shoot down the Trump position on birthright. I hope I'm 0 for 2.
