TOKYO (AP) — Prominent(GRA:?) American playwright and actor, Jeremy O. Harris, known for his Tony-nominated “Slave Play,” was arrested in Japan on suspicion of smuggling the psychedelic drug ecstasy, officials said Saturday.
(GRA: negroes are nominated these days by affirmative action quotas--not talent.)
Officers at Naha Airport on Japan’s southern island of Okinawa arrested Harris on Nov. 16 for an alleged violation of customs law for having 0.78 grams (0.0275 ounces ) of the crystalized drug, also known as MDMA, in a container in a tote bag he was carrying, according to Okinawa Regional Customs spokesperson Tatsunori Fukuda.
Harris, 36, had left London’s Heathrow Airport two days earlier and transited in Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport before arriving in Naha for sightseeing, Fukuda said. Okinawa is a popular resort destination with mild weather throughout the year.
Fukuda said Harris was arrested on the spot and taken into custody by the Tomishiro police, which filed a criminal complaint to the Naha District Prosecutors’ Office Thursday for further investigation and possible indictment.
Japanese authorities did not find any other drugs in his luggage and believe the MDMA was for his personal use (GRA: AP's reasons that he should be released.). They are still investigating, Fukuda said, while adding that whether Harris made any comment on the case could not be released.

I just read the plot summary--and OF COURSE--it was nominated for many Tony awards(did not win any,interestingly)--it's all about blacks unable to be sexually satisfied with Whites after a period of time and the role playing therapy these interracial couples go through.

(independent)Japan’s weather agency has issued its highest-level warning that a megaquake could follow Monday’s 7.5-magnitude tremor.
Authorities urged anyone living near the Pacific coast to remain vigilant throughout the coming week and to prepare evacuation plans in case they need to flee their homes.
The warning covers approximately 800 miles (1,300 kilometres), stretching from Japan's northeastern coast from Chiba, just east of Tokyo, to Hokkaido.
According to government estimates, an offshore megaquake could cause up to a 30-meter (98-foot) tsunami in the region, kill as many as 199,000 people, destroy up to 220,000 houses and buildings, and cause estimated economic damages of up to 31 trillion yen ($198 billion).
Monday night’s earthquake injured at least 34 people and produced widespread tsunami warnings, with waves up to 70cm seen in several coastal communities.
All tsunami alerts have now been lifted, but nuclear power plants in the northeastern region are carrying out urgent checks for impacts from the quake, which struck at about 11.15pm in the Pacific Ocean around 50 miles off the coast of Aomori.
Tuesday’s notice was the first time this top-tier alert has been issued since the warning system was launched in 2022
