GRA: 177,000 is the population. Back in the day, it was as White as the fresh snow we have on the ground. muskegon is around 40 miles northwest of grand rapids.
“muskegon, mich. (wood) — police are looking for whoever was responsible after two people were killed and three others injured [sic] in a shooting in muskegon saturday afternoon.
“the dead include a 25-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, the muskegon police department said. their names were not immediately released.
“police chief Tim Kozal told news 8 that investigators are looking for a suspect and no arrests have been made, though there was not believed to be a threat to the public.

“the shooting happened around 3:15 p.m. inside a home near the intersection of Jackson avenue and McLaren street. police said they were called there on a report of shots fired. when officers arrived, they found multiple people had been shot.
“the 25-year-old man died at the scene.
“the woman and two other 25-year-old men were rushed to the hospital, where the woman died. the two other men were listed in critical condition saturday evening.
“also injured [sic] was a 4-year-old, who sustained minor injuries and was expected to be released from the hospital soon, police said.
[N.S.: A four-year-old was also shot, but his wounds were “minor”; he's “expected to be released from the hospital soon.” There's no such thing as “minor wounds” on a four-year-old who's been shot. And when is “soon”? Three days? Three weeks? Three months?]
“Kozal said the suspect [perp!] left the scene after the shooting. police say they are still investigating what happened, but they said it 'does not appear to be a random act.'”
[In other words, none of the victims was White.]

MONDAY REPORT "OF A MAN WITH A GUNSHOT WOUND",TURNED OUT TO BE MUSKEGON'S FIRST NIG NAP OF THE WEEK;UPDATE ON SATURDAY'S MASS SHOOTING--"POSSIBLE HOME INVASION."
At around 9:30 a.m., the Muskegon Department of Public Safety (MDPS) responded to a residence on Jiroch Street after a report of a man with a gunshot wound.
Officers located a Muskegon man upon arrival, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene, MDPS said in a release
The victim was identified as 73-year-old Tomas Lee Stewart Sr.
GRA:As for Saturday's lullaby of bullets,which resulted in 2 dead and 2 hospitalized in critical condition,postings on social media seem to indicate a home invasion began the shoot-a-thon.

(nbc California)A man is dead following a shooting in San Jose’s Willow Glen neighborhood, according to the police department on Sunday.
Police said they were notified just before 3 a.m. of a shooting in the 2200 block of Lincoln Avenue.
(GRA:3 am tells you a lot,though the rest of the story informs very little.)
Upon arrival, authorities reported they did not find any victims at the scene. However, according to officials, officers were notified shortly after four men self-transported to local hospitals, each suffering from various extent of gunshot wounds.
At around 2 p.m., police told NBC one of the victims succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The status of the other three victims is unknown at this time.
The police department said Lincoln Avenue from Franquette Avenue to Curtner Avenue will be closed for a “significant amount of time,” and asked residents to avoid the area and use alternate routes as the investigation continues.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was found fatally shot on a West Side sidewalk late Friday night, Chicago police said.
Officers responded to a call about a person shot near West Adams Street and South Hamlin Boulevard just before 11:30 p.m.
Responding officers found an unresponsive 45-year-old man on the sidewalk.
The victim, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body, was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified him as Carl McDonald.
What led up to the shooting was not immediately clear.
There is no one in custody, and Area Four detectives are investigating.
Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — A person of interest is in custody in connection with a Muskegon weekend shooting that killed two people, who were identified by police Sunday.
The shooting happened around 3:15 p.m. Saturday in a home near Jackson Avenue and McLaren Street in Muskegon. Police were called for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found multiple people had been shot.
Police: 2 dead, 3 injured in Muskegon shooting
Joshua Fondren Jr., 25, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene. Cori Marie May Watts,(black)22, was also shot multiple times and died at the hospital, according to Muskegon Police Chief Tim Kozal.
Two 25-year-old men were hurt and still listed in critical condition as of Sunday afternoon. A 4-year-old had a graze wound and was taken to the hospital but is expected to make a full recovery, Kozal said. None of the injured were identified by police.
The suspect left the scene after the shooting, Kozal told News 8. He said police were still investigating but the shooting “may have been related to robbery.”
On Sunday, police told News 8 a person of interest had been taken into custody.
