Two Trumps on a seesaw

It's like there are two Trump's, on opposite ends of a see saw. Conservative Trump on one side and Bizarro Trump on the other side. They take turns being the dominant personality--fairly quickly,sometimes. If I was a shrink,I'd diagnose...a clash of Trumps going on inside that body.

In some ways, he's always been like that- wildly inconsistent, going whichever way is expedient for him at any given time, shooting his mouth off and saying things he doesn't mean. He threatened to bomb Russia and China- if they took him seriously, we'd already be fighting WW3! The two things he HAS been consistent on: his promotion of homosexuality (I don't think people realize the absolute and frightening power that group wields- he could not have been elected without their approval), and his utterly horrendous judgement as to the people he surrounds himself with and gives powerful positions to (as well as the people he trashes). Former VP Pence is commonly regarded as an evil person and a traitor- but it was Trump that chose him in the first place!
His time is nearly up and he knows it- everything he does is to leave a legacy that will paint him as a wonderful, beloved public figure, and pave the way for a future Trump dynasty. Which will pretty much wrap up America for good.

(ZH)The USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier strike group has finally arrived in the US Southern Command Area of Responsibility, after late last month President Trump ordered it to Caribbean waters from its deployment in the Mediterranean.
This represents a drastically-stepped up campaign with an eye on Venezuela, at a moment Washington is mulling possible regime change targeting President Nicolás Maduro, with US officials describing the Ford carrier's purpose as to bolster the Navy's capacity to detect, monitor, and disrupt illicit actors and activities.
GRA:I'm all for destroying the drugs pouring in from places like Venezuela,but is that a LEGAL reason to physically go into Maduro's country(militarily or weapons)?
"National security" is a generic term but if you overthrow Maduro in Venezuela to stop drugs,to be consistent,you must have war with mexico and china. However oil(as we know)is also a huuuge factor and inserting a pro-American president to open up the oil spigots is the other reason for evicting Maduro.
This just means you can add venezuelans to iranians,mex gang members--and homegrown democrats-- who want to take P.T. out.

Contradictory, maddening, cringeworthy....sometimes I wonder if Trump has a form of Tourette's syndrome. I try to hang onto his "mass deportations" as a justification for him though it seems more for show than real permanent change. Unless he can end the corrupt anachronistic asylum system it will ultimately mean little.

Not quite the Complete Series as advertised, but most of COMBAT! is here, for Veterans' Day. My recommendations:
S. 3 ep. 30- HERITAGE- Probably my co-favorite along with Altman's 1st-season SURVIVAL. Charles Bronson has one of his best roles as a demolition expert assigned to blow up a mountain- then he discovers a cave filled with priceless art treasures. It's a takeoff on Frankenheimer's THE TRAIN, which is a great movie, but this is better (Lancaster was Superman, Bronson is, unusually, sensitive and human). Absolutely incredible.
3-17 -THE CASSOCK- James Whitmore, who is always great, as a Nazi who disguises himself as a priest. Suspense, action, compassion.
3-20 -BROTHER, BROTHER- Tour de force. Editing and photography are stunning, especially in a night-time truck-chase sequence that outdoes most movies. In the service of another great human-interest story. This is the most kinetic show ever on TV, with the actors and the camera in near-constant motion. Also the most violent and action-packed- since it's OK to shoot Nazis! Leonard Rosenman's music is the crowning touch, melodic themes alternating with his eerie 12-tone style (his specialty).
And yet, except for an occasional nod to Vic Morrow, the series received little acclaim in the 5 years it was on the air!
