streets full of WHITE PEOPLE in nyc, in the 1950s
I looked up nyc's demographics in the 1950s and Whites were 90%, with blacks and chinese (who knew?) filling out the rest. In 70 years, the city has lost 60% of its Whites. No wonder nyc votes the way it does. It has been conquered by minorities.
I posted before about What's My Line, and what would the panelists think about the city they obviously loved in those days. Old Naked City episodes, showing streets full of WHITE PEOPLE. Now, it's like trying to find Elmo (Whitey).
And I still don't understand how it happened--in most of the big cities. Probably the most incredible development of my lifetime--along with White population decline (percentage-wise.)

At one time or another he was quoted as disparaging gay men and women, girls who were not “pretty” and the intelligence and initiative generally of women, as well as of people with dark skin. At a lecture at Berkeley in 2000, he suggested a connection between exposure to sunlight and sex drive, saying it would explain why there are Latin lovers but not English lovers. And he once said that he felt bad whenever he interviewed an overweight job applicant because he knew he wasn’t going to hire someone who was fat. [ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.]
Dr. Watson escaped serious consequences for his remarks until 2007, when he was traveling to promote his memoir “Avoid Boring People: Lessons From a Life in Science,” published that year. He was quoted in The Sunday Times as saying that while “there are many people of color who are very talented,” he was “inherently gloomy about the prospects of Africa.”
Social policies assume comparable intelligence levels, he went on, “whereas the testing says not really.”
The remarks provoked widespread outrage, but they stung particularly at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, which early on had become known as a leader in eugenics, a theory supposedly aimed at improving the genetic quality of the human race through selective breeding. Today, eugenics is recognized as a racist enterprise that gave rise to, among other things, forced sterilization, restrictions on immigration [RESTRICTIONS ON IMMIGRATION ARE RELATED TO EUGENICS???] and, in its ultimate horror in Nazi Germany, the Holocaust.
“Jim has made some very silly comments in his life,” Dr. Stillman said. “Perhaps those are the worst.”
Though Dr. Watson immediately apologized “unreservedly,” saying “there is no scientific basis for such a belief,” his remarks produced a swirl of denunciations and canceled speaking engagements. In 2014, Dr. Watson put his Nobel medal up for auction at Christie’s, saying he would use the proceeds of the sale to provide for his family and support scientific research. But there was some speculation that the sale was a gesture of defiance directed at a scientific community that he felt had abandoned him.
A Russian billionaire, Alisher Usmanov, bought the medal for $4.1 million — and returned it to him."
Also- the NYT has really reached rock bottom with some of the stuff they've been running lately. I thought this one was pretty bad-

Now THAT'S an absolute disgrace- what utterly sick and evil people! Is the President still a billionaire? He should buy the paper from Carlos Slim and either reform it or shut it down. Of course, he has no interests outside of himself and the bubble he exists in. And according to one Democrat gloating over their election wins, "Nobody gives a ---- about social issues anymore." Which is probably the sad truth.

Travel advisory TO nyc,make it a travel advisory IN nyc--
from block to block--on or near the subway--and avoid the entire place after dark. But now that I know very few Whites live there,it doesn't matter about advisories. The blacks,spics and PRs can shift for themselves.

Cute, but it's been dangerous since the 1960's- and people treated "mugging" as if it were just an annoyance to be lived with. It even became a subject for jokes, in all media. I grew up there and lived through it. It got so bad by the late 1970s, WHITE kids were robbing stores, and breaking into cars in broad daylight. People in a civilized society should NEVER have to worry about going out at night, or avoiding certain areas. It's not just the influx of minorities, but the total erosion of law enforcement and the judicial system.
