So, why is there a movement to make another player team captain? No good reason can explain that.

I put an occasional bet down. I play streaks and post streaks. For instance,if a team wins 7 or 8 in a row,loses and then wins again,the next game is usually a loss. A team with a very successful record like the Dodgers,the odds are less of it happening but still works. Same with losses except a lousy team like the White Sox.

But if sports betting is legal now, how can the games be trusted at all to be on the level? It would seem to be the last nail in baseball's coffin (and looking back to the days of Pete Rose and his shenanigans, maybe it was NEVER on the level. Better not to know!).
