Woman on the Run (1950), The Lost Moment (1947), Hal Mohr and Ross Elliott

EXCELLENT movie. Great camerawork by Hal Mohr (watch this back-to-back with The Lost Moment (1947), another noir-ish gem that he photographed)!

The under-appreciated character actor Ross Elliott has a nice role as the missing husband.

The subtext of the story, the wife not appreciating her husband, is very effective- a good movie to watch with one’s spouse!

Four stars!

Always liked this one: (Don't know the source):
"For the New Year, I gave up smoking, drinking and cursing."
(checks pockets)
"G-- D--- it, I left my cigarettes at the bar!"
