“All friends again”
“whatever resistance that senate republicans might put up against President Donald Trump by rejecting his most controversial cabinet nominees crumbled within a matter of eight minutes on tuesday.
[N.S.: Why would republican senators put up “resistance” against their own president?]
“at 10:22 a.m., during a finance committee vote on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination to lead the department of health and human services, the swing vote on the panel—Louisiana sen. Bill Cassidy—posted his support. at 10:30 a.m., indiana sen. Todd Young, a key vote on the intelligence committee, posted his support of Tulsi Gabbard to serve as director of national intelligence. maine sen. Susan Collins, another potential swing vote, had thrown Gabbard her support on monday afternoon. both of these nominees, long considered the most endangered of the remaining bunch, made it out of committee. barring a landmark breakthrough in human behavioral studies in the coming days, both will be confirmed to Trump’s cabinet.”
GRA: Too funny.
