“‘I believe in the rule of law BUT… ‘bIDEN gives pre-emptive pardons for his criminal henchmen (Milley, Fauci, Cheney, et al.)’”
“(ny times) among those receiving the pardons were gen. Mark A. Milley, the former chairman of the joint chiefs of staff; dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the longtime government scientist; and all the members of the bipartisan house committee that investigated the jan. 6, 2021, attack on the capitol, including former representative Liz Cheney, a republican from wyoming.
“‘I believe in the rule of law, and I am optimistic that the strength of our legal institutions will ultimately prevail over politics,’ mr. bIDEN said in a statement. ‘but these are exceptional circumstances, and I cannot in good conscience do nothing. baseless and politically motivated investigations wreak havoc on the lives, safety and financial security of targeted individuals and their families.
“‘even when individuals have done nothing wrong — and in fact have done the right thing — and will ultimately be exonerated, the mere fact of being investigated or prosecuted can irreparably damage reputations and finances,’ he added.”
GRA: And this is how his administration ends, covered in as much slime as you would have thought—with a person of bIDEN’s moral compass—which points toward lying, corruption, and covering up at all times.

Maybe the president preceding Biden could have actually "gone after" some of these people- like "locking up" Hillary, for starters. Instead of just posturing, and playing his base for fools.
ReplyDeleteWas the murderer Michael Byrd pardoned as well? Didn't see his name mentioned, but the article says "members of the capitol police" received pardons along with the rest.
Ah well, bring on the "rap star"!

Update: someone in household just told me he had an opera singer (white!) performing at whatever rigamarole they had this morning! Score one for culture!

Uh-oh. Mrs. Vindman says her hubby was overlooked in the pardon-a-thon.
ReplyDeleteSleepy Joe says "Oopsie! I must have left it in the second drawer on the right side of my desk. Could you ask what's-his-name to overnight it to the beach house? And the third drawer too, but tell him not to open the pouch, it belongs to Hunter.""
My concern is if the J6 pardons aren't done right, the media - and the general public - are going to immediately draw a (false) moral equivalency between J6 and The Henchmen. (The Henchpersons for those of you who... well, you know who you are.)
ReplyDeleteThe "right" was is to do the J6 pardons with a big presentation. Some political theater is necessary. Have Karoline Leavitt do it in the press room so the media have to sit there every day and listen to it, even with some of the pardonees there in person. Telling some of their individual stories in great detail, how they were welcomed into the Capitol that day, naming names of who was the prosecutor, who was the judge, where they have been jailed, what were the conditions. Space them out, even if it means a few extra weeks behind bars, because the media is slow to learn. Hammer them with it every day for a few weeks. A lot of low-info voters out there have no idea and they won't be watching The Jim Jordan Hearings Show on CSPAN.
