Saint Mary's County is rural.

 

It's located at the confluence of the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay.

 

Easy boat access to D.C. which is about 70 miles up the Potomac.

 

I know this as my oldest sister used to live in Leonardtown, Maryland.

 

She retired from the county's planning department.

 

Saint Mary's County is also home to Naval Air Station Patuxent River.
